Not far from the Austrian city of Salzburg, in the idyllic Salzburg mountain landscape, lies the small village of Werfenweng. Here, you’ll find everything you need to enjoy heavenly peace and quiet or go exploring in the natural surroundings. You can spend your holiday in Werfenweng in many different ways: paragliding, golfing, swimming or hiking. But you can also conquer the mountain landscape on your doorstep by bike or e-bike.

In this Collection, we present four Tours that invite you to explore our region. All bike Tours start directly at the mountain resort Werfenweng. Depending on your mood and fitness, you can take on the Tours with a bike or e-bike. You can ride a lap around the Tennen mountains and pay a visit to the massive Mandlwand or the Salzach. The trip to the Hochmais Alm is quite short but takes in some decent elevation gain; great views and two very cosy inns make this Tour one of the favourite routes of Markus Buchhagen, the director of the Werfenweng mountain resort.

In addition to the fantastic holiday moments on two wheels, we also place great emphasis on sustainable tourism. Arriving by train is easy, as a shuttle service takes you from your arrival in Pfarrwerfen to the mountain resort. You can rent an electric car or e-bike at the hotel tool, so you can get around no problem.

After your Tour through the magnificent mountain landscape, you can look forward to relaxing at the resort. The interiors are beautifully decorated and each room has a balcony, so you can enjoy the fresh mountain air. You’ll find culinary delights in our Feinspitz, Stroblhaus and Moosmühle restaurants and in the walk-in vinotheque, discover international as well as regional wines on offer.

If you long for a little more relaxation after an adventurous day in the mountains, you can put together your own wellness programme, including classic spa treatments, a fragrant cedar wood bio sauna and a swim in the heated outdoor pool.

Short and sweet - a good description for this tour, which only has twelve kilometers, but is quite demanding for your calves. As a reward, however, there are great panoramic views and two cozy rest stops where you can strengthen yourself. For our hotel manager Markus Buchhagen it is one of the favorite
