    Großer Birkensee

    Bike Touring Highlight

    The Großer Birkensee with its wooded shores is beautiful. There are sunbathing lawns between the trees where you can relax comfortably. Nothing stands in the way of jumping into the water to cool off and bathe. In the Birkensee you can swim safely again, because there is no longer any risk of swimming due to exposure.     The Altmühlsee is a real highlight, both for cyclists and for water sports enthusiasts. There is a nice bike path around the lake around, also invites the lake for swimming, sailing or surfing.
