You can cycle around the lake on a circular route. Of course, the path is also ideal for walking or hiking. If the Dechsendorfer Weiher should be your stage destination on a longer bike tour, you can, for example, stay overnight at the campsite by the lake.

The Igelsbachsee is a branch of the Bromb axis, which is long and nestled into the Spalter hill country. While the north-western part of the lake is under nature protection, you can practice various activities such as boating or swimming in the rest of the lake. There is a bathing beach with a sunbathing area and kiosk.
The area also has a lot to offer outside of the water. A 6.5-kilometer path leads around the lake, which you can either walk or ride a bike. If you need even more action, you can try your luck in a climbing park.

The Altmühlsee is a real highlight, both for cyclists and for water sports enthusiasts. There is a nice bike path around the lake around, also invites the lake for swimming, sailing or surfing.
In the northern part of the lake is the bird island, which is one of the most important protected areas for migratory birds in Bavaria. A visit to the bird island with its lookout tower is definitely worth it. But the bike has to be parked, as you can only explore the island on foot. You reach the island via a wooden pier.

The Happurger reservoir is a relatively small reservoir, which you can easily cycle around on a four-kilometer route. The area around the lake is wonderful and you have a spectacular view of the water while cycling.

The shores of the lake are overgrown with trees, giving it that idyllic look. The Great Brombachsee is the largest and deepest of all lakes in the Franconian Lake District: It measures a bank length of 17.5 kilometers and a water depth of 32.5 meters. The flooding was completed in 2000. The Große Brombachsee, Kleine Brombachsee and the Igelsbachsee are separated from each other by accessible and accessible dams.
