A small Austrian valley with great nature: Kleinwalsertal in Vorarlberg is an ideal terrain for nature and outdoor lovers of all kinds at any time of year – whether athletic mountaineers, via ferrata fans or enthusiastic families. But it's not just us humans who feel at home in Kleinwalsertal. There are vital habitats for a diverse and unique alpine fauna and flora.
So that you can get to know it, we present seven hikes to some of the most beautiful nature spots in Kleinwalsertal. They take you to the unique Gottesacker plateau, along the Schwarzwasserbach stream and around the highest peak in the valley – the Großer Widderstein.
To ensure that everyone can enjoy this diversity and uniqueness in the future, Kleinwalsertal has launched the initiative ‘Experience nature consciously’. Because our passion for the mountains is inextricably linked to the preservation of the natural environment, protecting what we love is the essence of ‘Experience nature consciously’. If we all abide by a few rules, observe protected areas and concentrate on designated open spaces, we make an important contribution to the protection of this sensitive region.
For more information on ‘Experience Nature Consciously’ and the measures, offers and events related to the project, please visit kleinwalsertal.com/natur-bewusst-erleben.
