Through forest and meadow – A hiking trail perfect for a spontaneous afternoon trip: You start in Schieren, at the monument by the church, and then leave the town behind you.



The trail takes you across wide fields and dense forests. Final- ly, you look down on the town from atop before heading back again.

Over the wide plateau – Along the stream, past the Asselborn mill, the slate quarry and the Millebierg viewpoint, this trail leads across the plateau of Wincrange.



Let your eyes wander over the beautiful landscape! The stre- am makes a few extra loops for you in its reclaimed bed.

Along the river – The Our makes a loop around Bivels, the starting point

of this tour. This trail mostly follows the river, making it very special.

When you cross the river, you also pass the border to Germa- ny. From a certain point, you can see both ends of the Our loop from above.

To the hidden quarry – You walk out of Gilsdorf, along fields and up to a breathtaking view over the village, through the beech forest and then suddenly you are in the middle of the Schoofsbësch quarry. Down to the old mine – In Goesdorf you start across fields and through the forest down to an old mine. Antimony, a shiny silver semi-metal, was mined here until 1938.



The efforts of the miners can only be guessed at from the out- side. Afterwards, the trail leads back up to the starting point.

To the stone bridge – This hike starts in Bilsdorf and takes you past the Misärshaff. Now you have already completed a good part of the trail. The tour continues down to the bridge over the Sûre, which is slowly damming up, over wooden footbridges and through a nature and bird reserve.

Down to the Our valley – The Our River is an important source of life for its inhabi- tants, including the brook mussel. Discover the exhibition at the Kalborn mill.

The highlight of this tour along the Our is the Kailslee view- point. The tough climb will be rewarded with a special view of the Our valley.

Up to the mighty fortress – The Bourscheid Castle towers above the valley in which the Sûre River makes loop after loop. You walk along the river and up to the fortress.



Once you have reached the Gringlee viewpoint on the op- posite side of the valley, you will be offered one of the most impressive views of the Éislek.
