At noon it was clearly too cold and too windy for biking - the webcams in the Alpstein showed massive clouds - so back towards Lake Constance, it's often much less cloudy there - and that's how it was then 😍

Weather nice 🌞, but cool 4-6°C with a bit of bise.

The path (T2!) between km 3.7 and 4.4 was

Very nice hike in the northern hilly area of Appenzell, with great views, especially of the Alpstein massif.

Weather quite good and pleasant, albeit clearly with veil clouds. Meadow paths often very wet and greasy, a few remains of snow at the top.

The "Pfeff ond Lischt" trail (theme trail) is recommended

Easy round in the intermediate high in pleasant conditions. At km 6.5 I didn't get any further because the bridge along the stream towards Lochmüli collapsed (written).

That was my first tour with "Premium". Tried the live tracking right away, my security contact could see me 😊 But the premium hiking

Because the weather was still so nice, we did a simple, less eventful hike nearby. The Heiterbachtobel is only short and doesn't bring that much.

    N.B.:

In CH you write "das Tobel" in A+D "der Tobel", just in case someone is wondering 😉

Since I didn't have time until after noon today, I "only" decided on a smaller, easy tour without a long journey.

Through the very beautiful old town of Wil, past the Wiler Stadtweier and then up to the Wiler Turm, where you have a comprehensive view of the Alps, from the Vorarlberg mountains via Alpstein

Surprisingly beautiful tour with lots of cool changes: in addition to normal paths, constant up and down, striking ravines, steep stairs, babbling brooks, waterfalls, ponds, trails, river, forest, viewpoint, fields, monastery etc. etc.

It was a really nice tour 😍 with surprisingly good weather, hardly

According to all webcams, the Appenzellerland and Alpstein were totally overcast today, so it made little sense to go there.

Towards Lake Constance it looked much better and more open, but the area didn't appeal to me today.

So a lap nearby, above Abtwil SG, where I have already been (and inspired by a

Cool round in the wild, wild and romantic Chellenbachtobel. Initially without rain, but then with rain, temperature 10 ° C, paths wet to slushy, partly with residual snow.

Due to fallen trees, the Chellenbachtobel is sometimes in the purest chaos, locally difficult to walk through (bike impossible).

Another short lap to the mountain sun 🌞

Today it was less warm than yesterday, also slightly windy, cloudless blue, but the distant view was slightly hazy.

Marked paths hard snow, partly icy, but partly also fully aperitif. Slightly slushy or dirty and muddy in the sun. Snowshoes are currently not a good

1st Advent 🕯 Sunday hike in the former home district, with many impressions from childhood and youth.

At first with snowfall, later there was even the sun and blue gaps.

Super cool path in the wild and romantic Bellona Valley, along old weirs in the Bachtobel.

Super nice, dignified late autumn hike in the upper Toggenburg on a sunny 🌞 south-facing slope above the fog (fog up to around 1000 m). With great views towards Wildhuser Schofberg / Säntis and the entire Churfirsten chain.

Paths quite dry and easy to walk.

Weather: at the beginning very cold in the shade

Mix of fog, sea of fog (approx. 1200-1600 m variable), veil clouds, sun, moods, views ... was a very good combination. Although the sun was shining over the fog, it was mostly quite diffuse due to the veil of clouds.

Paths not difficult, but sometimes quite wet and muddy.

Today was not necessarily my best day ... 🙃

I actually wanted to do the tour of Vorderer Goggeien-Vorder Höhi-Gulmen-Furgglen-Dergeten, but things turned out differently:

First up on a nice, cool forest path, steep and rough next to the rushing waterfall stream, a bit slippery because of the wetness and

Tour suitable for the weather without major highlights. On the contrary, in the ravine between Rehetobel-Wald-Trogen there are noticeably many old houses in very poor condition and disorder, often not very intoxicating to almost repulsive. Seems like AR's lost place 🤔

Easier but very beautiful forest hike in the nearby Bernhardzellerwald.

Unfortunately, very specific bike bans in this area are ignored by recalcitrant bikers and the wet trails are completely broken. I also bike a lot (if the bike is not still defective ...), but such behavior is not good and only harms

A city tour in the beautiful (old) city of St.Gallen, with the whole office (office excursion), including lunch, afternoon snack, aperitif and dinner.

Guided tour through the city with the topics textile city and abbey district, with lots of insider information that locals don't necessarily know either. Wasn't it something else?

That was a rather disappointing hike for once: actually cool trails lead for almost kilometers through forests and valleys without any prospects and therefore mostly in the shade. Only at the very end by the vineyards do you have a view of the Rhine Valley.

From this point of view, this tour is not recommended
