Descent from Fähnerenspitz first icy snow (put on light gear), then jelly to green. Sometimes snowshoes would

Because of the wind warning level 2, I did not climb any peaks such as the Kamor today. On my route, the wind was sometimes clearly noticeable and audible, but not problematic.

Where there was (still) snow (see photos), it was wet to watery, stable to soft to full of puddles, so all in all it was criss

The last Alpstein hike before the popular snowfall.

Weather very cloudy, sun unfortunately only diffuse, freshening west wind. There were still some people on the way to take the last chance.

Paths were in great condition and very dry - but in a few hours they should be more white .....

After the end of the season you can even go back to Alpstein 😍 on Sunday, but on my tour there were still as many people as I've never seen there ... after all, it was my 10th tour there.

Made the Forststobel for the first time: wild, rough, steep, narrow, swampy, wildly romantic, so just cool 🤩 But

I have not experienced that myself in the Corona lockdown, 16 km alone in the Alpstein, no one to see, I only crossed a snail ...

The weather wasn't that bad: dry, cool, cloudy with a bit of sun at first, no snow and ice, so no problem at all. And good timing, just before the end it started to rain

Actually, my two sons and I wanted to go up to the Säntis via Mesmer and Wagenlücke. The weather report was too uncertain, so it was discarded.

As a replacement, one of my sons and I went on a smaller and less risky tour to the Fähnerenspitz, where I have been around 12 times 🥰

    Weather mostly cloudy

Cool Alpstein tour together with Andrea🐶🚵🏻🥾, to bring her closer to the, as always, super beautiful Alpstein.

Ascent in the rough Hüttentobel today on very wet paths with lots of running water (after the thunderstorm yesterday evening).

Dodged the pollen and explored the snow conditions in the Alpstein:

Depending on the location, there is still partly to continuous snow in the Sämtisersee area, usually quite easy to walk (firm, hard to slushy). In well-sunny locations, however, there are also smaller to larger areas that are already

    Note:

Parts of this tour (descent to Bollenwees, ascent and descent Alp Sigel) are currently NOT (!) Recommended without spikes or even better Grödel (difficult snow spots, slippery, dangerous) 🚷

And watch out for falling rocks, about 5 m in front of me an approx. 1 m tall tree trunk went down the slope

First tour in 2021 on foot on my favorite hill 😍 the Fähnerenspitz (in January I was already up with snowshoes).

Weather nice at 9-12 ° C. Sunlit paths with aperitifs or with residual snow, shady paths usually with a lot of snow. The snow was half hard to slushy soft, sinking depth mostly manageable

On the (almost) shortest day of the year, I did another super beautiful Alpstein hike with snow conditions 😎 to my favorite alp, Alp Sigel.

At the start in Brülisau at 10:30 h it was already 5-6 ° C, so warmer than in the flat country.

Brüeltobel hard snow glassy, then hard snow at the top partly soft

My 400th tour with Komoot 🍾, in 21 months (= 19 tours per month). 212 tours on foot, 188 by bike. On this occasion, I would also like to state that Komoot is 98% fully reliable for me 👌, the remaining 2% can also be due to the mobile phone or user.

It was dream weather and (almost) nobody went there 🤔 ... saw very few people, nice for me.

Possibly the last (?) Big tour of this season in the Alpstein, with perfect November weather 😎🌞

Downstairs still cool and shady with ground frost, it was warm and super comfortable upstairs with full sun and

Dream weather in the Alpstein 🌞 the season is not over yet 😎

Fog blanket at around 1100 m, above cloudless blue 😎, great weather, partly foehn-windy, relatively warm, hiking in a shirt .....

Since inns and railways are now closed, there are not many people on the road, except for about 10 bikers who

We were able to do our office Alpstein hike, which was canceled several times due to bad weather, today at least as a couple, and it was extremely worthwhile 👌

Great tour in great weather with sometimes quite strong foehn (storm). Paths so far mostly quite dry (2-3 days ago there was still snow up here

Exceptionally not to work today, so maybe the last (?) High-altitude hike of this season in Alpstein was made at short notice. In the morning cloudy, cool, dry, in the afternoon partly sun and warmer. Relatively many people on the way.

Today I made the very cool secret route to Alp Sigel LSB again, then

Ascent from Pfannenstiel via a steep forest path to Alp Soll, I've never seen this path so dry, so a breeze. Then on to the Plattenbödeli (coffee and nut croissants).

On the way between Alp Soll and the Plattenbödeli, quite unexpectedly a small group of chamois 🦌 seen crossing the path just before me

Nice shorter training round in the dreamy Alpstein.

Paths dried quite well despite 2 days of full rain.

Descended for the first time at Zahte Gocht (otherwise always up), despite the rough steep path it goes quite well.

All of Switzerland and half of the world 😉 is located in Alpstein, on the PP you can

Perfect long mountain hike in the ever so beautiful Alpstein 🏔😍

The ascent to the Bogartenmanndli is currently almost snow-free, partly muddy at the top, but easily feasible. As you can see in the photos, the Bogartenmanndli got a woman temporarily ...

The mountain meadows are full of flowers, which

Started at 9 a.m. together with son. Parking lot partially blocked, but was still not full at 12:30 p.m. Part of the path from the retirement home to the box saddle blocked with 2 large trees that have fallen over in the longitudinal direction. Scramble on the slope side, not easy but feasible.
