One lap each at the top of the crater rim and one at the bottom of the crater lake. The crater is 6500 years old, the lake level is at groundwater level.

The water from the Hraunfossar comes directly underground to the lava slope in many places, very special and extraordinary.

The lava cave is a good 1.5 km long and 39 m deep, of which we have walked around 600 m. The cave has a cross-section from narrow (bent over) to a motorway tunnel. The temperature in the cave is 0-1 ° C, and there is even some ice.

Eventful day with sun, clouds, fog, drizzle and a lot of strong winds, aslo a bit of everything ...



Fog, drizzle and wind - but still beautiful lava formations along the coast.



Full of black lava rock beach, from coarse pebbles to coarse sand. Behind the beach are the remains of a sunken ship (steel parts from 1948).



Extreme northwestern point on the Snaefellsness peninsula in the Snaefellsnessjökull National Park.

Everything stops here, nothing comes, except the sea ...

Totally at the end of the world ... only accessible on a rough gravel road. Striking lighthouse, lots of lava rock, birds in rocky cliffs.

Kirkjufell, a very distinctive and extremely beautiful mountain peak, on the other side of the road is a waterfall.

Intermediate pieces (straight lines) paused and driven by car (hence the high cut).

Sunny weather but very extreme wind.
