Today we - my two sons together with me - did a wonderful tour to the panorama hill "Spicher 1519 m", with fantastically beautiful weather conditions 🌞 and super powdery fresh snow.

The views on the Spicher were just great again, plus an "Appenzeller" summit schnapps, which goes very well with the bottle

Rietbad, Stein, Alt St.Johann: all southern locations with little to no snow. So we drove further to Wildhaus, where it was fine with the snow 😊

Weather very nice with very few clouds, nice and warm, but sometimes a bit cooler and brisk wind.

Because I was already in the area, I also wanted to make the

The snow situation and snow quality in the Appenzellerland is currently a bit unmanageable or not so good - that's why we did a manageable round on the snow-sure Schwägalp today.

A large part on a well-prepared winter hiking trail, but also parts completely off the beaten track on very hard, completely

A wonderful 🤩 mixed round of snowshoeing 🐧 and hiking 🚶‍♂️ in the Alpstein.

Plattenbödeli-Alp Sigel-Bollenwees-Sämtisersee with snowshoes, Brüeltobel and Sämtisersee on foot (very good hard paths), Brüeltobel down then with Grödel (much more relaxed as it is extremely good footing).

    Fantastic weather

Actually, I wanted to go from Ennetbühl up to the Gössingerhöchi, but no chance, the snow on the southern slope there is practically gone and a lot of green is already there. Incidentally, the same applies to other south-facing slopes such as Kronberg or Fähnerenspitz etc.

That's why I switched to the

Technically not very difficult, in terms of terrain and view it is an above-average tour 😍🥰🤩 Partly on the official "Zinggen" trail.

Paths mostly very well groomed on non-slip hard snow. At approx. km 3.2-4.3 the path was hardly marked and difficult to find in rough terrain, so I turned around and

In principle, Komoot recorded the entire tour (around 7.5 km), but due to the GPS failure of the mobile phone, the second half of the blue line and the km are missing....

Fortunately, Andrea's recording shows the whole tour 😁

It was an extremely pleasant snowshoe tour today:

Deep powdery fresh snow approx. 60 cm. Easy to walk on the normal Risipassweg thanks to a few tracks (mostly from skis). Apart from that, however, because of the deep sinking in, it is extremely exhausting to draw a new track.

Actually I wanted to go to the "Chli Stockberg", but the way to it via Langzimmer

From (almost) spring back to winter: 2 days ago it was green at 14 ° C, today it was white at -2 ° C ...

Snow conditions 10-40 cm soft fresh snow ❄ (not powdery), very easy to walk, partly groomed, partly clean.

Yesterday's wonderful tour of Kitty767 inspired me to do something similar today (if it's snowing

Last short tour before the hot weather change.

A brisk but rather mild south-westerly wind and cloud cover already herald the rain on Christmas Eve ...

Hard snow track, partly a bit rough, partly bare meadow, the conditions are no longer particularly good (it was much better at the Spicher yesterday).

Dream weather 🌞😎🥰 for a snowshoe tour to the wonderful summit "Spicher", which offers a fantastic 360 ° panoramic view at a good 1500 m.

Snow conditions very good, paths extremely well groomed, easy to walk with the exception of some passages which are a bit tricky (steep / rough). Currently it is

⚠ Avalanche danger ⚠ in the Alpstein

Relatively close to the Seealpsee ascent, I was able to watch an avalanche live, saw avalanches that had already gone down and had to turn around because of the seemingly critical slope next to the Seealpsee.

I recommend thinking carefully about what is currently possible

If the circumstances are right, there is (almost) nothing better than snow ❄ and sun 🌞. To enjoy this, you can do various sports, I did another snowshoe tour, ideal for walking across the terrain.

Simple but super beautiful tour in a freshly snowed winter landscape at 1000-1200 meters above sea level

In the morning I briefly considered getting on the bike, luckily I didn't do that, it would definitely not have been as good today as being in the white mountains ...

My conclusion today on the snowshoe tour:

Dream weather, dream conditions, dream landscape, dream tour 🥰🥰🥰 and today another day clearly

Inspired by Martina's tour yesterday, I went on another snowshoe hike today (partly in the same area).

Around 50 cm of powdery fresh snow, partly slightly frozen over or frozen in place. Sinking very deeply away from the tracks, there physically and physically very strict. Fortunately, it had a lot of

Today another snowshoe tour 🐧 as long as it fits ... The weather is very nice 🌞 and warm (Schwägalp 10 ° C and many motorbike riders). For handling reasons I walked with my wife's smaller snowshoes. Quite a lot of snow blowers on the way, Lutertannen parking lot overflowing.

    Actually, I wanted to go

Exciting tour to a limited extent, but in view of the onset of the weather change it is well suited.

Larger parts through the forest and often on hiking trails, tracks mostly well trodden (these parts could have been made on foot).

The weather was cloudy with only a vague sun, around 0 ° C.
