We arrived in Milan Malpensa at 9 am, took the train down the Porta Garibaldi and walked to the hotel with our bikes. climbs on forest roads being our 'good morning!'. But quickly we hit flat paved cycle paths to Zernez and then from Zernez it was up to Passo Fourn. It was short and hard with patches of 10-12%. But once again the stunning scenery made up for

  • What a day. Stelvio is magnificent. Both the climb from Prato, which we did early to avoid most of the traffic. And the descent to Bormio which is partly nice and technical to test your cornering. The climb was partly shaded until the tree line cleared , which was great- and then the view of the switchbacks

  • Leaving Livigno after a night of pouring rain, the valley was misty. As we climbed the first pass out of the valley, the clouds chased along with us.

Another pass later, and it was all downhill - which was a great timw to rest from all our work On the bikes.

Today, after leaving the Alps, was a mostly flat day. And instead, it was the traffic lights and traffic of the city that slowed us down. But before seeing that we had a final farewell to the blue waters of Como.

All our bikes held up to the end, and we disassembled them in front of the hotel, for storage
