For us, the most beautiful kind of weekend trip is the one where you wake up surrounded by nature. It’s a weekend that takes you to lofty heights, surrounds you with silence and brings you to magical places. On the way and in the evenings, a well-deserved cold drink and local delicacies await at cosy accommodation and rustic huts. You can enjoy the evening sun playing cards with your companions.

So what kind of weekend do we mean exactly? Hiking hut to hut, of course. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city, your job, and daily life behind. Pack your hiking gear, bring along your favourite companion and get going. Hiking hut to hut in Germany isn’t only possible in Bavaria. In the north, east and west, you can also head out on one, two or multi-day Tours.

In the Harz Mountains, atmospheric huts await. In the north, you’ll stay in fragrant hay fields and cosy farms. In the south, you’ll find classic, rustic huts. In this Collection, we invite you to join us on our next ‘hut adventure’. Hike north on trails through blooming heathland, follow exciting rocky trails and head up high in the Bavarian Alps. These eight Tours are the best way to fight the blues – believe us.

So put on your hiking boots, pack your rucksack and fill up your water bottles. Don’t forget to reserve your overnight stays at huts in advance – especially in summer and early autumn. Make sure you arrange your return travel in advance too – you can usually travel with public transport. All that’s left to say: have a great weekend and enjoy your hike.

What alpine huts are in Bavaria and cottages in the Harz Mountains are old red-brick farmsteads in Northern Germany. On this tour you go from farm to farm - and that on the Heidschnuckenweg, which is exceptionally beautiful, especially when the heather is in bloom.
