Crystal-clear cold air, crunching snow under your shoes and quiet hiking trails far away from the hustle and bustle of holiday regions – you don't have to travel all the way to the Alps for this experience. Around Baiersbronn in southern Germany, signposted winter hiking and snowshoe routes lead you through the wintry Black Forest. In this Collection, we present our five favourite hikes.

Ranging in length from 5 to 9 kilometres (3.1 to 5.5 mi), we’ve selected hikes that you can do with the whole family and also enjoy alone. They lead you along easily-accessible paths through river valleys and snow-covered forests and to beautiful vantage points. As a special highlight, each Tour also takes you to the cosiest huts in the region where you can warm up after your hike and indulge in culinary delights. In addition, you’ll find a snowshoe hike in this Collection, which is also suitable for beginners.

You can reach all these hikes with the Murg Valley train or by bus. One Tour starts directly from Baiersbronn. If you arrive by car, you’ll find a parking lot at the respective starting points. If you want to stay a little longer in the region, Baiersbronn and the surrounding towns have a variety of cosy accommodation on offer for your little winter break.
