These relaxing circular walks take you to some of the most beautiful vantage points in the Ostallgäu in southern Germany. From the foothills of the Alps, you enjoy fantastic panoramas over high Alpine peaks which are your constant companion here. You explore wonderful castle ruins, shimmering lakes and rivers and royal palaces too.

The Ostallgäu is dotted with beautiful lakes: almost half of the routes in this Collection take you to hidden pools or to the huge Forggensee lake. On other hikes, you follow the Lech, Halblech or Wertach rivers and enjoy spectacular vantage points. On the famous Auerberg and Senkele ridges and from elevated castle ruins, you gaze upon wonderful panoramas that stretch far into the distance. The Seenglück-Runde stage takes you to Hopgen Castle, whilst the Drachenblick-Route stage is a panoramic journey through the history of the Twin Castles, high above the town of Zell.

The Tours pass numerous benches and wooden loungers for a relaxing break. Take a picnic with you and get comfortable. It’s worth packing a picnic blanket in your rucksack to enjoy a far-reaching view on a lakeshore and, depending on the weather, take a swimming costume as well. For a delicious treat on the way, you can stop at one of the many huts, restaurants and cafes en route.
