The foothills of the Allgäu Alps are medicine for your soul: cosy hiking trails lead you through lush meadows to small chapels, imposing monasteries tell of days gone by and crystal-clear lakes appear on the horizon again and again. The magnificent Alps greet you from afar almost every step of the way.
In the heart of the Allgäu, the Allgäu Schlosspark is a treasure trove of long and short hiking Tours. There are nine adventure areas in the Allgäu, including the Schlosspark. On the hiking trails, cosy inns are a wonderful place to stop for a break. With every step, you walk through spectacular nature; green meadows, fields, forests, gentle hills and quiet lakes. There is also plenty of history to explore such as archaeological sites, monasteries and moorland. The region’s nature and culture are truly inspiring.
This Collection includes both half and full-day Tours that are between 7 and 18 kilometres (4.3 and 11 mi) long. The hikes start in rustic, small villages and slightly larger towns in the Ostallgäu and mostly follow gentle, undulating paths. Depending on the route, you also need to bring a picnic in case there are no inns along the way. We give you information on how to get to the start of the hike – by bus, car or train – in the stage descriptions.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home and to sending you off on a discovery Tour in the beautiful Allgäu’s Schlosspark.
