Winter hiking is the most relaxing way to enjoy the deep snow-covered landscape. Whether on the mountain or in the valley, depending on the weather, your mood and desire, you can always find a suitable Tour. This is especially true in Switzerland, where a huge network of winter hiking trails awaits you. Perfectly signposted and maintained, you'll find trails all over the country that could last for several lifetimes of hiking. To make your choice a little easier, we’ve selected a few Tours for this Collection, all of which have something special.

The hikes presented here are in Graubünden, Glarus, around Lake Lucerne and in the Bernese Oberland. You'll find circular hikes as well as long-distance hikes that are easy to reach thanks to the reliable Postbus network. Along the routes, you'll pass cosy mountain inns and restaurants where Swiss hospitality is celebrated and you can warm up with tea and home cooking.

If you haven’t done much winter hiking, there are a few things to remember. The most important thing is the right clothing. In addition to good functional base layers, we recommend following the onion-skin principle, i.e. to wear several layers on top of each other. This way you can easily adjust for warmth or cold. In addition to warm, sweet tea and a good stock of food, you should always have a second pair of socks, and carry sunglasses, gloves and light headgear in your backpack. And the most important thing is not to overdo it: start with a short Tour and increase slowly.

Now, let's get going. The first snow has already fallen!
