Forests are very special places in winter. Thick hoarfrost covers the trees and freshly fallen snow transforms the landscapes into a white dream. Don't be put off by the cold – you’ll have the finest gravel roads all to yourself. If you want to treat yourself to a wellness reward afterwards, you can finish your Tour near a sauna.

All the gravel loops in this Collection start and end at a spa with a beautiful sauna. This means that you can enjoy a sauna or steam bath after your gravel Tour. Your cold hands and feet will quickly warm up as you let your body relax – a real treat after a wintry gravel Tour.

I’ve selected 14 beautiful Tours with a varied mix of fast gravel roads, quiet side roads and great bike paths. Occasionally, there are also a few easy trails. On these Tours, you explore the vineyards around Stuttgart, lonely valleys and rustic villages of the Swabian Alb as well as the densely forested northern Black Forest. You can look forward to great views, historic castle ruins, imposing rock formations and much more. You will be amazed at what the Swabian region has to offer and which hidden corners you can reach with your gravel bike.

Even if you're not a sauna fan, the Tours are fun without them, I promise. And if it's too cold, a sip of tea from your thermos – even during your ride – will help keep you warm.

If, on the other hand, the prospect of a spa keeps you motivated, then pack your slippers, towel, bathrobe and a dry change of clothes.

Let's go, there is no reason to let your gravel bike grow cobwebs in winter. Pack well and look forward to a great winter gravel experience.
