On this cycle Tour, you experience the Nuremberg Land region of Germany with all your senses for several days. Seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling and tasting are on the programme, with 14 sensory stations dotted along the route. Enjoy wide views of the Franconian Alb, refresh yourself in Kneipp pools and cold rivers, taste the fresh fruit from orchards and listen to the sounds of bees and birds.

On the 160–kilometre (99 mi) long route, you experience what the Nuremberg region is all about and also climb a few metres in altitude. In this Collection, we’ve divided the adventure into four not-too-strenuous stages, with overnight stays in Neuhaus an der Pegnitz, Alfeld and Feucht.

The Sensory Cycle Route takes you from the picturesque Schnaittachtal Valley and over the hilly Franconian Alb to the wild and romantic Pegnitztal Valley. Countless small towns and rest stops invite you to take a break along the way. From the Albachtal Valley, the route leads into the historical Alb foothills and finally through the Lorenzer and Sebalder Reichswald forests back to Schnaittach. Cycle paths alternate with minor roads that wind through the trees. You can comfortably reach the starting point or destination of Schnaittach by train. The Sensory Cycle Route appeals to all your senses and promises plenty of variety.
