This Collection takes you on a magnificent adventure in the heart of France’s Écrins National Park. Over 11 stages, you can spend the nights in huts as well as nights under the canvas and ramble amongst the highest summits of the park.

This hike requires good fitness and hiking experience as the altitude gain is significant and several stages cross particularly remote, wild landscapes. You’ll be able to restock your supplies in various places on the way, but it’s important to manage your food supplies to last the whole trip.

From valleys to summits and waterfalls to torrents, each stage has its own surprises. During this expedition, you can seek out a wide range of wildlife, including two of the most emblematic of our alpine massifs: the wolf and the marmot!

From a practical point of view, you’ll start and finish your adventure in the town of Bourg-d'Oisans. You can get there from Grenoble by bus, run by Transisère. Bring lightweight equipment if you can; only what you need because the distance and altitude will soon remind you of any extra kilos in your bag. However, don't forget to bring a pair of binoculars so you can spot birds and animals!
