Much of what you see on these Tours are cultivated landscapes, created over centuries by people reclaiming wasteland and wilderness. Elsewhere, you'll discover parks, forests and other green spaces that are only a few decades old. During the First World War, many areas were destroyed beyond recognition. But the wounds have healed and the green of the leaves and the colourful blossoms now blanket the former battlefields.
