Don't let the weather stop you! Win with Five Ten! – Munich & Upper Bavaria

Mountain Biking Collection by adidas Five Ten

Autumn is approaching and with it comes fog, drizzle, slush and chilly temperatures. Reasons to wrap up and draw the curtains? Absolutely not! Because you're not made of sugar and a bike ride is certainly not only worthwhile when the sun is shining. That's exactly what we want to prove to you with this Collection.

We take you to the most beautiful spots in Munich and Upper Bavaria, where you can have fun whatever the weather. On rainy days, you'll have waters like Lake Starnberg, Lake Chiemsee, Lake Walchen or the Isar Canal almost to yourself; perfect for letting the magic of these places work on you in peace and quiet. In Murnauer Moos and Forstenrieder Park, you'll be immersed in a magical atmosphere, and from great vantage points you can look out over misty forests and let the dramatic sky bowl you over.

If you’re looking for the ultimate challenge in Upper Bavaria, climb up to the historic Eagle’s Nest by bike. At the top, not only does an unforgettable view await you, but also a warm room and hearty refreshments. If you want to take it a little easier, we’ve also included lower refreshment stops, where you’ll be spoiled with delicious food no matter what the weather’s doing.

And no matter what conditions await you, no matter what terrain, with the adidas Five Ten Trailcross mountain biking shoe, you can explore even the most remote forests all year round. Its waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps your feet pleasantly dry even in rain and snow. The non-slip rubber outsole guarantees optimum grip on the pedals and its flexible neoprene upper keeps mud and small stones out. So nothing, not even the worst weather, will stop you from your bike ride.

To motivate you even more, we're organising a competition for you:

- Grab a Highlight from the Collection or find another great destination and plan your own Tour in wet weather.
- Take a few photos during the Tour to capture the atmosphere and include the hashtag #brandofthebrave in the Tour title.
- Follow adidas Five Ten on komoot and tag us as a participant of the Tour.

We will raffle off two Five Ten Trailcross packages among all participants. Each package includes the Five Ten Trailcross GORE-TEX mountain bike shoe and a Five Ten TrailX long-sleeve. If, for any reason, these products are not available, the winners will instead receive a 250 euro voucher for the online shop at adidas.de.

    Starnberger See

    Mountain Biking Highlight

In the southwest of Munich is Lake Starnberg, which is a popular destination for tourists and Feierabendgenießer. Idyllic peace you will not find at the fifth largest lake in Germany at peak times, but in any case a magnificent view over the water. For a bike ride out of the city of Starnberger See is definitely a great stopover.

    Andechser Kloster und Biergarten

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The Andechser Bräustüberl deliberately maintains its centuries-old tradition as a pilgrim restaurant. Its history is as varied and multifaceted as that of the entire Holy Mountain.

As a visitor, please bring your own snack and enjoy a tasty Andechs monastery beer with it. But even those who come without a snack basket will find a large selection of cold and warm Andechser delicacies. On nice days you have a wonderful view of the Bavarian Alps and the magnificent landscape from the Bräustüberl terraces.

In the middle of the forest you will find this unique clearing - a pasture landscape with ancient oaks. The acorn garden is a flora-fauna-habitat area that lets you immerse yourself in a bygone era. This is how large parts of Forstenried Park used to look before it was afforested.

    Innspitze

    Mountain Biking Highlight

At the top you have an impressive view of the confluence of the Inn Canal and Inn. Not many people get lost here and so you can enjoy the silence, which is only broken by the splashing of the water and chirping birds. This place is perfect for switching off.

    Kehlsteinhaus

    Mountain Biking Highlight

Whether on foot or by bike - anyone who has climbed the path to the Kehlsteinhaus will be rewarded with a magnificent view! And that already when you have reached the platform. Now you can either take the elevator (long waiting times possible) or simply take the sidewalk. We went up and down.

When the sky is clear, you can not only look down to Berchtesgaden, but also look far and wide to Austria. The mountains are always a fascination for themselves and I can't get enough of them.

Small, short hiking trails still lead to the monument and you can take wonderful souvenir photos from anywhere.

In the restaurant you can also enjoy the “good, middle-class German cuisine”! :)
