Don't let the weather stop you! Win with Five Ten! – Palatinate Forest

Mountain Biking Collection by adidas Five Ten

Autumn is approaching and with it comes fog, drizzle, slush and chilly temperatures. Reasons to wrap up and draw the curtains? Absolutely not! Because you're not made of sugar and a bike ride is certainly not only worthwhile when the sun is shining. That's exactly what we want to prove to you with this Collection.

In the Palatinate Forest, medieval castle ruins await, painting a mystical scene in fog and drizzle. A Celtic ore mine and relics of the Cold War are the perfect destinations for an adventure in grey weather. Exciting museums such as the Biosphere House or the House of Sustainability also make great stops on your ride. After your explorations, you can warm up in rustic huts and treat yourself to a delicious, hot meal.

And no matter what conditions await you, no matter what terrain, with the adidas Five Ten Trailcross mountain biking shoe, you can explore even the most remote forests all year round. Its waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane keeps your feet pleasantly dry even in rain and snow. The non-slip rubber outsole guarantees optimum grip on the pedals and its flexible neoprene upper keeps mud and small stones out. So nothing, not even the worst weather, will stop you from your bike ride.

To motivate you even more, we're organising a competition for you:

- Grab a Highlight from the Collection or find another great destination and plan your own Tour in wet weather.
- Take a few photos during the Tour to capture the atmosphere and include the hashtag #brandofthebrave in the Tour title.
- Follow adidas Five Ten on komoot and tag us as a participant of the Tour.

We will raffle off two Five Ten Trailcross packages among all participants. Each package includes the Five Ten Trailcross GORE-TEX mountain bike shoe and a Five Ten TrailX long-sleeve. If, for any reason, these products are not available, the winners will instead receive a 250 euro voucher for the online shop at adidas.de.

    Area 1 Waffenbunker

    Mountain Biking Highlight

This is where NATO's nuclear weapons were stored during the Cold War. The site has been a monument zone since 2012 and can be visited on an information trail. The idea that weapons were stored here that could devastate all of Central Europe is oppressive and does not leave you without a trace. Kuckucksbähnel

    Mountain Biking Highlight

In 1909, the first part of this railway line went into operation, which was once planned at the request of the wood and paper industry. The later completed route leads from Neustadt to Elmstein, in 1977, however, all operations were discontinued. Until the Förderverein Kuckucksbähnel took care of it. Honigfels

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The most difficult climbing tours can be found on the Honigfelsen. No wonder when you see the absolutely spectacular rock like that. But you can also easily walk up the mountain from above to the gap between the individual tower and the rock massif. With two sensational vantage points over the Honig and the Bärenbrunner Hof to the Großer Eyberg near Dahn.

On the high path in the Abtswald between Birkenhördt, Blankenborn and Silz the "old lime tree" stands on a spider. The Silzer Linde, as it is popularly known, once served as a point of orientation.

    Bärenbrunnerhof

    Hiking Highlight

The Bärenbrunnerhof used to be a monastery property of the Klingenmünster Abbey. The name Bärenbrunnerhof arose from the village of "St. Bernhardsbrunn" in the valley, which perished in the Thirty Years' War. In 2004 the farm was converted to organic farming. The farm with all its animals can be viewed up close and fresh organic food can be purchased in the adjacent farm shop.
