The air? Crystal clear. The landscape? Full of intensely bright colours. Bikes and trails? Ready to go for your perfect mountain bike holiday at the beautiful Weissensee. Carinthia’s cleanest lake is especially beautiful in autumn when it presents its quiet side. Up to the end of October, a wide variety of offers entice visitors to extend their summer at Lake Weissensee with a stunning encore.
Accommodation complete with a beach, delicious regional cuisine and a unique combination of mountain and lake experiences make the region perfect if you love outdoor relaxation as much as fast-paced bike action. In autumn, the scenic jewel of Weissensee presents itself in its most noble dress. Whether you chill out on the lakeshore or enjoy the brilliant view from one of the various trails, is entirely up to you.
In this Collection, we present the best trails and Tours around Lake Weissensee. The three single trails are accessible by lift and offer beginners and advanced bikers great riding that you can enjoy as often as you like. The ‘Great Lake Circuit’ takes you once around the lake, so you can experience it in all its facets.
There are still a few great activities waiting for you this year: during the Bike Days from 10th to 12th September, for example, you can attend the mechanic workshops and hone your technical skills. The Yoga Bliss Days from 7th to 10th October are wonderfully relaxing. Yoga right by the water is a true dream! Every Friday until 22nd October offers culinary raft trips. While you indulge your taste buds, an experienced park ranger will give you exciting insights into the Weissensee habitat.
The MTB-Naggl Trail is one of the three built bike trails on Lake Weissensee, which you can easily reach by mountain railway or you can earn it yourself via the MW5 mountain bike route (Naggler Alm). Whichever way you get to the start, a whopping four kilometers of downhill fun await you at the top. 420 meters of altitude ensure speed and flow!

The second mountain bike trail built on the Weissensee runs around three kilometers west along the Weissensee mountain railway, from where it got its name. It is the most demanding of the three single trails, all of which start at the top of the mountain station. It is therefore a good idea to incorporate this trail as a highlight into your biking day after you have gotten used to the Weissensee Trail and the Naggl Trail.
