Bubbling mountain streams fall over rocky ledges into beautiful natural pools, vibrant forests are filled with birdsong and pretty trails lead from sight to sight: the gorges in the Black Forest promise wonderful and exciting hikes. These nine gourmet trails lead you through stunning landscapes with breathtaking viewpoints and show you the power of water.
Many gorges in the Black Forest are accessible for sure-footed hikers and promise unique experiences in nature. While it’s not ideal to hike here in spring when the snow melts, at least not with children, in summer, the shady paths and the many playgrounds by the water are ideal for families.
All of the gourmet trails in the Black Forest have been designated as Premium Trails by the German Hiking Institute. They’re varied and lead you away from roads and towns through vibrant natural landscapes with their wild and romantic forests, meadows, gorges and valleys. You can expect wonderful half- and full-day Tours that show you some of the most beautiful places in the region. They also take you to the culinary highlights of the region so you can indulge in Baden wines and delicious regional Black Forest cuisine. Gourmet hiking plus gourmet food – perfect.
The Black Forest is easy to reach from all directions. Some of the gourmet trails can be reached by train as well. All other routes are close to bus stops or hikers' car parks, from where you can set off directly on your epicurean adventure.
More and more people want to explore and experience the impressive nature in the Black Forest whether on foot or by bike. But we as humans are only guests here in the forest and the animals and plants are our hosts. That's why it's important to remember #respectfornature, because only with respect can we preserve the beauty of the Black Forest for our descendants.
You can find out more about the #respectfornature initiative on our profile page komoot.com/user/schwarzwaldtourismus or at respekt-schwarzwald.info.
