The air is bone-chillingly cold, the snow crunches under your boots and you walk through a magical snow-covered landscape. It's finally winter again! And what could be better than walking through the cold on a sunny winter's day, enjoying the fairytale landscape before holding a steaming cup of tea in your hands in a cosy inn? Not much. That's why we’ve created this Collection to show you 15 hikes spread throughout Baden-Württemberg that are especially fun in the cold season. From Lake Constance to Kraichgau, from the Black Forest to Allgäu – winter in the southwest presents its most beautiful side on these Tours.
Our Collection of winter hikes shows you just how diverse Baden-Württemberg is. Immerse yourself in the snow-covered Black Forest or let your gaze wander into the distance from the Albtrauf. Leave the stress of everyday life behind you on the path of silence along the Jagst River or marvel at the Alpine panorama on the shores of Lake Constance.
On frosty winter days, the air is often wonderfully clear and provides the best views. Add to this a blue sky and glistening snow, and you have a postcard picture. The Tours vary in length, from a long walk with the whole family to a full day’s hike, so you can decide how long you want to be out and about, depending on your mood and the weather. You can find refreshment stops on all Tours, either on the way or at the end. However, it's best to pack a thermos in your rucksack and possibly a seat pad; it's always nice to take a break with a warm mug in your hand.
Look forward to fresh, clear winter air, relaxing exercise and rosy cheeks. Now, we just have to hope that the winter brings us plenty of snow. Then nothing will stand in the way of your winter hikes through the south, right?
