The ground fog gently sweeps over the hills and the forests slowly turn into a sea of color. At the latest when the days become shorter and the mornings crisp and cold, it is clear: Autumn is just around the corner. Is that a reason to put the bike in the garage? Certainly not, because now begins one of the best times for cycling. Before the dark time of year, you can get a lot of fresh air, explore new, exciting places and keep fit and healthy at the same time.

We've come up with an incentive to make it even easier for you. With our #rausundlos Outdoor Initiative, we've got a little challenge: ride your bike at least 100 kilometres (62 miles) in a month. Once you've got a taste for it you won’t want to get off the saddle. Your bike will get you out into nature in no time, even in big cities and at a speed that gives you enough time to take in your surroundings.

To help you with the challenge, we've picked out some lovely bike routes with each being around 40 kilometres (25 miles) long. This length is easy to master – even for bicycle beginners. Just pick your three favourite Tours and plan them for the current or next calendar month – you’ll tick off the challenge in no time!

So, do you accept our challenge? Simply download the TK app, start TK-Fit (the fitness programme in the TK app) and take part in the challenge. If you complete it, you can earn up to 1,000 points for the TK bonus programme. You can either redeem those points for future treatments that you normally have to pay for or treat yourself to our rewards.

Just one more thing: if you go on a Tour with komoot, follow us, tag us as a participant after your ride and write #rausundlos in the title – we’d love to see who takes part in the challenge here. If you prefer to share your adventures on Instagram or Facebook, you can tag us by using #rausundlos. We'll meet you in the great outdoors!

Originally, only the Mühlenbach was dammed at the site of the Halt reservoir. In 1930 it was still a long way from being as big as it is today. But now the 300 hectare lake is the flagship of the region and part of the wide lake landscape between Haltern and Dülmen. On this bike tour you can get to know

Because of the special viaduct in Altenbeken alone, we can recommend this bike tour in the east of North Rhine-Westphalia. You will not meet many other cycle tourists here and so you can spend a quiet day at the Egge Mountains. Due to its proximity to the city of Paderborn, you can easily reach Altenbeken
