We've come up with an incentive to make it even easier for you. With our #rausundlos Outdoor Initiative, we've got a little challenge: hike at least 20 kilometres (12 miles) in a month. Once you’ve got a taste for it, simply keep going! After all, a hike in nature is the perfect combination: fresh air, quiet paths without hustle and bustle, and on foot you’re at the right speed to get to know new places in a relaxed way.
To help you with the challenge, we've picked out the perfect hiking routes to get you started. All Tours in this Collection are 10 kilometres (6 mi) long. Just pick your two favourite hikes and you’ll tick off the challenge in no time! We've picked out five walks in Bavaria and another five in Baden-Württemberg. Get to know the most beautiful hiking regions in the southern German states such as the Black Forest, the Swabian Alb, the Altmühltal and the Ammergau Alps. No matter whether you prefer to climb peaks or stroll through gentle vineyards, whether you’re more of a forest lover or a moorland explorer, put on your hiking boots and your rucksack because it’s time to get out and about!

Look forward to a varied ups and downs around the district of Baden-Baden. The landscape is characterized by rocks that are popular with climbers. But hikers also have a lot of fun in the region.
Do you want to sniff some mountain air again and collect altitude meters? Then you have come to the right place in the Ammergau Alps. This round takes you high up and gives you fantastic views over the mountains in the Ostallgäu from the Hochplatte. The path leads you over a narrow ridge, so for this hike you should be reasonably free from giddiness. You will be rewarded for this with a magnificent panorama - ideally with the best view.
