Unless you're one of those hardcore winter runners, your running shoes probably haven't had any contact with the outside world for a while, have they? Add in the gyms being closed, treadmills selling out all over Europe plus cold and wet weather right up until May – hardly running conditions. We know the problem but we also have the solution. Open the curtains, look out the window and what do you discover? That's right, summer is waiting outside! Now is the perfect moment to move your workout outside, discover the blossoming trees and get your tired legs back into shape.
We've come up with an incentive to make it even easier for you. With our #rausundlos Outdoor Initiative, we have a little challenge: run at least 20 kilometres (12 mi) in a month. And once you’ve caught the running bug, just keep going. Running outside is much more fun than on a treadmill in the gym. You get to see nature in all its glory, enjoy the fresh air and work up a good sweat.
To help you with the challenge, we've picked out some really neat running routes and each is exactly three miles (5 km) long. Simply choose your favourite route and plan it for this month or next. We've put together 10 running Tours in this Collection to inspire you. From Rostock to Bremen, from Osnabrück to the Schlei fjord, the flat north is a great place to run. Lace up your running shoes and discover beaches, parks and Hanseatic cities on the run. As it’s northern Germany, you'll always have the water in sight.
So, do you accept our challenge? Simply download the TK app, start TK-Fit (the fitness programme in the TK app) and take part in the challenge. If you complete it, you can earn up to 1,000 points for the TK bonus programme. You can either redeem those points for future treatments that you normally have to pay for or treat yourself to our rewards.
Just one more thing: if you go on a Tour with komoot, follow us, tag us as a participant after your run and write #rausundlos in the title – we’d love to see who takes part in the challenge here. If you prefer to share your adventures on Instagram or Facebook, you can tag us by using #rausundlos. We'll meet you in the great outdoors!
