After lunch we drive to Niemtsch, along Lake Senftenberg, turn off at the "Leaning Tower" towards Hosena and reach Hohenbocka.
We drive through the forest to the lookout tower on the Prossenberg in "Buck'schen Schweiz". Unfortunately the tower is locked indefinitely. Return via Peickwitz and Großkoschen to Senftenberg.
In wonderful spring weather we drive through our wooded Lausitz
to the Haselberg tower in the Königsbrücker Heide. On the way we watch cranes, ducks and swans frolic in the many small ponds and two deer cross our path.
As nice as the weather is, but a strong wind is already blowing on the observation deck of the tower, the visibility is exceptionally good.
Everything is starting to bloom, there is a lot to discover along the way.
The Schradenland is located in the south of Brandenburg and we reach the Heidehöhe, Brandenburg's highest elevation, at 201.4 m.
162 steps up and we stand on the viewing platform of the Heideberg tower. As a reward, we enjoy the clear view.
We watch the goings-on in the stork nests near Großthiemig.
Another short stop at Lindenau Castle. The remaining kilometers go by in a flash.
The sun is tempting. It is cool along the lakes and the fog is slowly rising. Today we drive past the "Rostigen Nagel", cross the Sornoer and the Barbara Canal. We stop for lunch at the new rest area in Geierswalde. From the Geierswalder See the Fürst Pückler Weg continues to the Senftenberger See.
It should be a cozy round around the Senftenberger See. Due to the many Easter vacationers who are already on the way in Großkoschen, we decide to turn in the direction of Peickwitz. We continue through the landscape park in Biehlen and the Niemtscher Park, where the wood anemones bloom. From Niemtsch cycle again along the lake to Senftenberg.
