Today I arrived in Bad Laasphe. So somewhere I stomped across the border with North Rhine-Westphalia, the third state through which the Lahn flows. It was very warm again today, so we started early and needed a lot of breaks and even more water for the 20 km.
The route is very varied and does not save…
Today a short stage, which was just right for me in view of the high temperatures. Temperatures over 25 bother me and I have to get used to the fact that the air is no longer cool at 8 o'clock in the morning. I miss spring
The section is great and leads over shady paths through the mountains. Pure nature…
Actually, it should also go in the direction of the Lahnquelle on this day. As soon as I got on the regional train in the direction of the starting point Caldern in Buchenau, there was an announcement that the departure was delayed because the route was closed. When after 45 minutes it wasn't clear when…
There are days when your legs don't want to. Today was one of those. From Marburg train station, first a little down the river and then through the old town up to the castle. After a detour through the castle park of the route of the Lahn hiking trail on the north side back down into the city. There…
After 20.5 kilometers, only 300 meters from the finish, seen the Lahn - a typical stage in the Lahn valley between Gießen and Marburg. The Lahn valley is very wide and flat there and the route leads from the Fronhausen train station to Marburg. I think the route is very successful, because the beautiful…
Always beautiful. Runkel is just photogenic. Highly recommended for hiking afterwards. Parking spaces at the start and finish at the Bürgerhaus Dehrn. You can also take the LM41 bus from Limburg. Stop for a break after Corona in the old town café or in the Mancuso ice cream parlor, both in Runkel. Tip…
