The region of North Rhine-Westphalia in the west of Germany is a place where idyllic nature meets industrial charm and medieval castles meet modern art. Although the state is better known for its cycling culture, it also offers several kilometres of fine hiking trails that showcase the region’s diversity from its best side. In this Collection, we present nine rewarding hikes across the region – from the city of Aachen to Münster.

North Rhine-Westphalia is incredibly varied. We asked local hikers to show us their favourite Tours, resulting in an exciting mix to suit every taste. You can choose between nature, adventure and urban exploration. Marcus and Gina from Neuss (2onthego.de/) show you three Tours through the idyllic landscape of North Rhine-Westphalia. These routes are perfect for recharging your batteries, switching off and relaxing.
