First-class trail running awaits you in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Thrilling speed trails, challenging marathon trails and energy-sapping endurance trails – here, as a passionate runner, you will find your dream route away from asphalt and gravel roads.
With this Collection, we take you on a fantastic selection of the most beautiful trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm. There are eight routes to take you high up into the summit world, each one challenging you in its own way. The Saalachtaler Höhenweg Light is perfect for beginners: a good 16 kilometres (10 mi) and almost 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) of altitude difference to master. Together with the alternative route of the Panorama Trail, it is tough but offers enough time to enjoy the beautiful landscape and to take a break. With almost 32 kilometres (20 mi) and 6,200 metres (20,300 ft) in altitude, the Glemmtaler Südseit Run is a different proposition. The Paschaweg trail leads you steeply up to the Spieleckkogel mountain, then over the ridge to the Asitz summit. A dream panorama is guaranteed.
Even well-trained trail runners will find the 14 Summit Trail and the Supertrail a real challenge. With a distance of up to 56 kilometres (35 mi) and with 3,000 metres (10,000 ft) of altitude gain, these routes are true monster trails. Will you take on the challenge? A particular highlight is the Joker Trailrun. "Up and down, again and again" is the motto on these 50 kilometres (31 mi), during which you take in the four main peaks around Saalbach Hinterglemm. The special thing about it is walking up and gently gliding down with the mountain railways. With the Jokercard you can even ride them for free!
Like running with others? On the 21 August 2021, you can complete one of the trails with like-minded people. At the 13 Summits Sky Marathon, you will climb 13 summits and circle the Glemmtal valley. If you don't want to let it rip quite as much as on one of the following trails, the Höhenweg light is a perfect start: around 930 meters in altitude are waiting to be climbed by you, once at the top it is flowing so that you can enjoy the view to the fullest can. In the end, with a happy grin on your face, you simply float down into the valley by train.
Trail running is your thing, but with pleasure please? Then lace up your running shoes and conquer the alternative route of the Panorama Trail. The beauty and views are in no way inferior to the original, but save you a few strenuous vertical meters. Because instead of climbing every single peak along the route, you simply walk past their foot. A dreamlike panorama is also guaranteed on this route.

A top-class half marathon with the valley head high trail is waiting for you to accept the challenge. In addition to the classic competition distance, you will climb around 1,400 meters in altitude. As a reward, there are numerous summit crosses, a picturesque Alpine panorama and never-ending trail miles. Make sure you take enough water with you, there is only a stop at the end of the round.
