Located at the southern gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage region of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, the winemaking town of Rüdesheim's diversity is unparalleled. Flowing from Mainz in western Germany, Germany’s longest river, the Rhine, flows leisurely through gentle, rolling landscapes before abruptly changing direction between Rüdesheim and Bingen and plunging into a dramatic, deep valley. This spectacularly varied scenery guarantees exciting bike Tours. Thanks to the ferries, you can easily travel from one side of the river to the other so you have a huge area to explore.

In this Collection, we would like to introduce you to seven exciting bike Tours around Rüdesheim, which are suitable for beginners as well as more athletic cyclists. All Tours start centrally in Rüdesheim at the market. The main star is, of course, the Rhine, which appears in some form on all of the Tours. In Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen, there are also numerous hosts who are looking forward to your visit; you can really spoil yourself between the tours.

Thanks to its location on the steep southern slope of the Taunus and its lime-rich soils, Rüdesheim has some of the best vineyards in Germany. Indulgence is always included here. A stop at one of the many wine tasting points simply has to be part of any Tour through the vineyards. Whether you’re here for just one day or spending several days on holiday in the region, there’s plenty of activities and countless sights to discover.

Wine experiences such as hiking Tours and the RheinWeinWelt are just two examples of what you can do here. You can also relax on a wine beach, ride the Winzexpress, go on a guided Tour with a herbalist in Assmannshausen, ride in one of the two cable cars, and more. Don’t miss out on the regional cuisine at the numerous restaurants before or after your eventful Tour. Of course, you should try the famous Rüdesheim coffee with a shot of Asbach Uralt in the evening.

Assmannshausen is an exception in the Riesling-dominated wine-growing region in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, because mainly red wine is grown here. The excursion to the neighboring region is relatively short, but involves some elevation gain due to the village's spectacular hillside location. Of course

The Westerberg is remarkably high in the hill country of Rheinhessen. Since 1912, the Bismarck Tower has stood on top of the mountain, which is visible from afar and offers a panoramic view of the Taunus and Rheinhessen. Apart from the very steep climb to the Westerberg, the route presents no major difficulties
