Vijf berggebieden, een prachtig rivierdal en in het midden van al dat moois een bruisende stad – alleen Tirol kan dat, alleen Innsbruck kan dat. Dit zijn de hoofdingrediënten voor de Tiroler lifestyle: 's ochtends vroeg de stad uit en solo of met mede-avonturiers beklim je de toppen van de omliggende bergen. Onderweg prik je een hapje in een authentieke berghut en' s avonds zoek je de gezellige drukte weer op in de grote stad.

In deze Collectie presenteren we tien wandelingen waar het hart van iedere wandelaar sneller van gaat kloppen. Van ontspannen gezinswandelingen tot sportieve dagtochten en uitgebreide meerdaagse tochten – in de vijf bergketens rond Innsbruck kan het allemaal. De noordelijke keten van de Karwendel torent hoog boven Innsbruck uit. Op het eerste oog haast onmogelijk te bedwingen, maar dankzij de kabelbaan ben je in 30 minuten boven. Vanaf het bergstation wandel je naar de verschillende toppen zoals de Hafelekarspitze of de Gleirschspitze.

De Patscherkofel, de ‘vriendelijke reus’ van Innsbruck, ligt ten zuiden van de stad en betovert met zijn magische dennenbossen. De wandeling rond de berg is een geurig genot. Verder naar het westen lonkt het Mieminger plateu met steile, grijze rotswanden, prachtige uitzichtpunten en schitterende lariksbossen.

In het zuiden, direct bij het begin van het Stubaital, torent de markante Kalkkögel de lucht in. Ook al zijn de ruige rotspieken alleen voorbehouden aan ervaren bergbeklimmers, je kunt ook als plezierwandelaar op pad gaan in de omliggende dalen en genieten van het uitzicht op de bergketen. De bergen rond het Sellraintal zijn met meer dan 500 naamgegeven pieken en aangewezen bergbeklimmersdorpen een waar paradijs voor bergwandelaars.

Welke van de vijf bergketens je ook kiest, alle wandelregio's zijn vanuit Innsbruck gemakkelijk te bereiken met de bus, trein of met de auto. Innsbruck is daarmee het perfecte startpunt voor jouw zomervakantie. Hier kun je echt genieten van de unieke combinatie van ‘bergen en stad’.
