The tour starts at the Ellerburg car park and leads on mainly agricultural paths alternating on both sides of the Great Aue to the mouth of the Great Aue at Binnen with the Weser. Since there are no restaurants and no parking spaces there, the route continues back to Liebenau to the restaurant and hotel Schweizerlust.
In total, the Great Aue is crossed 20 times.

The path to the source of the Große Aue begins at the Ellerburg parking lot and leads through the Auewiesen towards the Mittelland Canal. Cross the old canal bridge past Hollwinkel Castle in the direction of Bad Holzhausen with a view of the Wiehen Mountains. The guest's house is passed across Bad Holzhausen. Via Glösinghausen it goes to Neue Mühle, where the Große Aue crosses the Wiehengebirge. Gut Crollage can be seen on the right.
The path continues through a very beautiful and hilly landscape to Dono to the headwaters of the Große Aue opposite the Schiemkerweg / Am Höger Sieg intersection.
This is also the connection point for the Hüllhorst tour.
Since there are few parking spaces here, the route continues for about 4 km past the Bieren train station to the Rödinghausen bus station, An der Stertwelle. There is also a bakery and a supermarket here. The imposing tour ends here.

This tour shows in a special way how attractive Hüllhorst and the surrounding area are.
It starts in the headwaters of the Große Aue. Cars can be parked in the area. You can also park at the bus station in Rödinghausen. You then drive along the Ellerburg - Aue - bike path to the source area (approx. 4 km).
The interesting tour first leads along the Wiehen Mountains with beautiful views over the Hüllhorster Land to the Teutoburg Forest.
Rossmühle, Eierfeld and Reineberg are some important points.
Then it goes along the city center to the bird sanctuary Hagedorn. We continue idyllically past the pond through the beautiful landscape back to the starting point.
In the second part of the tour there are very nice views of the Wiehengebirge.

Continue on the ridge path to the Neue Mühle and from there to the headwaters of the Große Aue in Dono.
The following km back to Bruchmühlen are almost entirely downhill.

It starts at the Haus des Gastes in Bad Holzhausen and leads through Bad Holzhausen past the calm forest over the Mittelland Canal to the Getmold harbor.
Then it goes via Schröttinghausen with the fire brigade museum, Dahlinghausen to the city center Preußisch Oldendorf.
From there it goes back to the starting point in Bad Holzhausen. Beautiful mansions, watermills, museums, farms and much more can be visited along the way.
It is worth exploring Preußisch Oldendorf more closely.

The 24.5 km round tour around Rahden shows in a special way the beauty of the rural surroundings of Rahden.

This tour connects Preußisch Ströhen and Stemwede across the Great Diek River.
It starts at the Aue market in Preussisch Ströhen. Parking is available in the area.
The Great Diek River flows into the Great Aue nearby. Viewing is not possible because of private property.
In the first part, the path leads north along the river via Oppenwehe to Levern. The Stemweder Berg can be seen for a long time.
It then leads back through the center of Levern via Destel and Niedermehen south of the Great Diek River.
The path winds through meadows, fields and forests over beautiful avenues with fantastic views. This tour is a nice opportunity to explore the area of the Great Diek River and to get to know the neighboring places.
