Mountain Biking Collection by adidas Five Ten

Imagine you're riding on a flowy trail that leads along natural paths through a wonderfully dense forest. You suddenly see a plastic bottle that someone has obviously lost. So, you pick it up, of course. After all, the bottle has no business being on the trail and is an obstacle too.

What do you think about going one step further and setting even more of a good example? You could show other forest visitors that you care just as much about untouched nature as a mountain biker. Why not pack a rubbish bag in your rucksack for your Tour and collect a bit of rubbish along the route, at car parks or on the roadside. You don’t have to organise a big clean-up of course. It’s enough if everyone just takes a few minutes to help our forests to look a lot nicer!

And there’s more great news: for your good deed, you won’t only get positive karma. You have the chance to win one of four exclusive adidas Five Ten packages with great sustainable products for your mountain bike Tours. The package is available twice for women and twice for men. Each includes a pair of Five Ten Freerider Primeblue mountain bike shoes, a pair of Five Ten BOTB bike shorts and a Five Ten Bike TrailX T-shirt. There are also 500 Five Ten 25% discount codes up for grabs!

By the way, the entire outfit comes from adidas Five Ten's Primeblue product line. They are produced using high-performance recycled materials, some of which are made from Parley Ocean Plastic. This special project aims to rid beaches and coasts around the world of plastic waste by using it to produce new materials. This is an important step towards a plastic-free future for our oceans.

Joining the #CleanYourLocalForest initiative is easy:
1. follow adidas Five Ten on komoot and take us with you on your clean up, no matter if you walk or ride. You can either be inspired by the highlights in this Collection or ride your own favourite route.

3. tag adidas Five Ten as a participant in your Tour to share it with us and the community. Creative Tours with photos of your clean up have the chance to win one of 500 Five Ten 25% off codes! (You will be contacted by email)

    Hahnheider Turm

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The Hahnheide is a beautiful nature reserve of around 1,500 hectares near Trittau in Stormarn Switzerland. Here you will find wonderful old trees of pines, beeches and spruces.

The forest area is overthrown by the "Long Otto". From this observation tower you have an impressive view over Stormarn Switzerland. The 27 meter high tower is located on the 99 meter high "Großer Hahnheider Berg". With good visibility you can even see the Hamburg TV tower in the distance.

The long Otto has been a very beautiful observation tower for decades - it was built in 1974 and rebuilt in 2001 with a height of 27 meters. I've known him since the late 1970s and always enjoy coming back here - the view is fantastic.

Anyone who manages the very steep driveway without electronic support deserves a lot of respect

    McGazza

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Probably the best enduro trail in the Hanstedter mountains! It starts off slowly, but after the second fork it really starts with fast, tight turns around the trees. The uneven ground invites you to pump and jump. It's just fun!

Beautiful area at the gates of Hamburg. And not for nothing a nature reserve that you should drive with an extra dose of respect. Better get off and push.

    Mönchstrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Great trail along the south bank of the Mönchsteich, past several small, free bathing bays with great views of the pond. It's great fun to bike here and stop every now and then to enjoy the beautiful view.

    Billetrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Great MTB route along the Bille through beautiful, untouched nature. Difficult to drive in places because the trail is criss-crossed by tree roots and quickly softened and muddy when it rains. But it's still great fun to bike here.

    Dalbekschlucht Trail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

The Dalbek Gorge is a beautiful nature reserve and an Eldorado for mountain bikers. It offers many types of trails that you want to ride and trust yourself. Suitable for beginners as well as professionals with steep ascents and descents. The west side is easier to drive - the east side has some difficult passages where you have to concentrate a lot.

The NSG Dalbekschlucht extends over the communities Börnsen, Escheburg and Kröppelshagen. It is characterized by a ravine forest, which is crisscrossed by the Dalbek flowing water, which has been preserved in its original form. The forest consists mainly of deciduous trees, with the common beech being predominant.
The fascinating thing about the Dalbektal is its beauty, especially in spring. In the light-flooded forest there are large carpets of wood anemones (anemones).

    Geesthang

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

It's really fun to bike here. A little experience and concentration are helpful for some difficult passages, otherwise it is better to choose the easier trail or descend. But beginners can also ski well up on the Schorrhöhe.

In the west of the city of Geesthacht, bordering the lock canal, there is the nature reserve “Besenhorster Sandberge und Elbsandwiesen” with a size of 150 hectares. When biking you can also see the remains of the Düneberger powder factory, which was located there until the end of the Second World War.

The area, which is home to rare animals and plants, has been under special protection since 1993. Immediately adjacent is the Hamburg nature reserve "Borghorster Elblandschaft" with the Borghorster dunes and the Elbe meadows (Kringelwiesen).

The nature reserve is characterized by its dry, lime-rich sand lawn, its dunes and silver grass meadows and its old oak forests. It is part of the European ecological network Natura 2000. This unique landscape is the rest of the once much larger inland dunes, the only ones in Schleswig-Holstein that were formed after the last Ice Age around 10,000. The large mountains of sand moved with the wind and at times posed a serious threat to the Alt-Geesthachters. It was only with the founding and expansion of the Düneberg powder factory after 1877 that the dunes were "tamed" or used economically.

    Paul-Roth-Stein-Trail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Kicki is located between the Paul-Roth-Stein and the Schwedentrail.
Legend has it that countless mountain bikers have tried their hand at it here and if you look closely you will find the shattered bodies of many shredders along with their broken carbon bikes next to the trail, under the leaves of the past icy winter. Inconspicuous and yet deadly, it rises up from a small descent, and even honeymoon it crouches waiting for its next victim. It means you have to sweep over him with exactly 20.31415926535 km / h. Too fast and you rattle into the treetops, too slow and you end up with your face instead of your bike. Whoever reaches this magical speed when jumping will float through the air like a feather like an angel and land gently as if on cotton. With that in mind ... just send it! :)

    Hülsenberg

    Mountain Biking Highlight

On my trip to Hamburg, I drove through the Harburg Mountains and was totally surprised: I got a real low mountain range feeling here and that only a few kilometers away from Hamburg. In any case, that in itself is much more spectacular than the Hülsenberg itself, even if it represents the highest elevation in the Harburg Mountains next to the Gannaberg (at least 155 meters).

    Regionalpark Rosengarten

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

South of Harburg, the Leine-Heide cycle path leads through the extensive forests of the Regional Park Rosengarten. Sometimes on paved and sometimes on paved gravel paths it goes through beech and mixed forests.

    Wilseder Berg

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The Wilseder Berg is a great destination with a unique, wide view over the beautiful landscape of the Lüneburg Heath. Various paths and trails lead from it, which should be interesting for every mountain biker.

    Holzsteg im Totengrund

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

This small but beautiful wooden walkway does not lead you through, but across the Lüneburg Heath. With oncoming traffic or pedestrians, consideration is required. If leaves are on it and they are still wet, it can become slippery.

    Wacholderheide

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The extensive heathland with its numerous, gnarled junipers is considered the largest and most beautiful juniper forest in northern Germany.
This area is also called "Teufelsheide" because of the mist that often sweeps across the country and leaves behind mystical images.
