#CleanYourLocalForest in the Black Forest & win with Five Ten

Mountain Biking Collection by adidas Five Ten

Imagine you're riding on a flowy trail that leads along natural paths through a wonderfully dense forest. You suddenly see a plastic bottle that someone has obviously lost. So, you pick it up, of course. After all, the bottle has no business being on the trail and is an obstacle too.

What do you think about going one step further and setting even more of a good example? You could show other forest visitors that you care just as much about untouched nature as a mountain biker. Why not pack a rubbish bag in your rucksack for your Tour and collect a bit of rubbish along the route, at car parks or on the roadside. You don’t have to organise a big clean-up of course. It’s enough if everyone just takes a few minutes to help our forests to look a lot nicer!

And there’s more great news: for your good deed, you won’t only get positive karma. You have the chance to win one of four exclusive adidas Five Ten packages with great sustainable products for your mountain bike Tours. The package is available twice for women and twice for men. Each includes a pair of Five Ten Freerider Primeblue mountain bike shoes, a pair of Five Ten BOTB bike shorts and a Five Ten Bike TrailX T-shirt. There are also 500 Five Ten 25% discount codes up for grabs!

By the way, the entire outfit comes from adidas Five Ten's Primeblue product line. They are produced using high-performance recycled materials, some of which are made from Parley Ocean Plastic. This special project aims to rid beaches and coasts around the world of plastic waste by using it to produce new materials. This is an important step towards a plastic-free future for our oceans.

Joining the #CleanYourLocalForest initiative is easy:
1. follow adidas Five Ten on komoot and take us with you on your clean up, no matter if you walk or ride. You can either be inspired by the highlights in this Collection or ride your own favourite route.
2. show that you care about the environment and record your clean up Tour with komoot and add #CleanYourLocalForest to the title of the Tour.
3. tag adidas Five Ten as a participant in your Tour to share it with us and the community. Creative Tours with photos of your clean up have the chance to win one of 500 Five Ten 25% off codes! (You will be contacted by email)
4. repeat!

Tours & Highlights

    Badishmoonrising-Flowtrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Super flowiger Trail from Schauinsland direction Freiburg. Created by Canadian trail farmers quite new and therefore great to drive. The trail is only about 250 meters in altitude and has short intermediate climbs, but overall is extremely fun and fluid to drive - in my opinion, the top trail in the area!

    Freiburg Pumptrack

    Mountain Biking Highlight

There is clearly little better than to end the day relaxed on the pump track. Whether you do a few more laps yourself or just watch the others doing it is up to you and doesn't really matter - what counts is the nice atmosphere and the presence of numerous other bikers. Apart from these general statements, this pump track turned out really well here. It is beautifully located, quite big and well built. Thanks to the paved surface, it is always easy to drive on.

You can find out more about the creation of the Freiburg pump track and the work of the association behind it here: mountainbike-freiburg.com/content/ein-pumptrack-f%C3%BCr-freiburg.

    Mountain Biking Highlight

Wonderful view of the Höllental. Above, right on the path, there is also a refuge.

    Canadian Trail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

The Canadian Trail was built by the mountain bike Freiburg e.V. in cooperation with four Canadian trail construction professionals and is with its fun course and countless built adjacent curves a really great flow trail. And quite highly official - not even in the Black Forest.

Let's go on the Kybfelsensattel, the destination is located above the Sternwaldwiese directly on the outskirts of Freiburg. More or less parallel to the descent, there is a moderate Uphill, so that you can reach the start of the trail also directly from Freiburg. If you want to go for a longer ride, you can pedal up to Schauinsland and board the "Badishmoon Trail", which joins the Canadian Trail. This results in about twelve kilometers of the finest mountain bike fun!

    Feldberg Gipfel

    Mountain Biking Highlight

Up here you have a wonderful view of the Black Forest and beyond. Highest peak in Baden-Württemberg, great refreshment. Attention: it is better to take warmer clothes with you, because it is also the coldest place in the state on average over the year.

    Aussichtsturm Schauinsland

    Mountain Biking Highlight

Over 85 steps you reach the 22 meter high viewing platform of the Schauinsland Tower, actually called "Eugen-Keidel Tower". In good weather you can look into the Vosges and the Swiss Alps. The tower is always open.

    Kybfelsen

    Mountain Biking Highlight

On the 810 meter high rock there was a castle in the twelfth century, but there is almost nothing left of it. Thanks to the view, a stop on the foothills of the Schauinsland is still worthwhile. In good weather you have a great view of Freiburg and Günterstal.

    Rosskopf

    Mountain Biking Highlight

From here you have a magnificent 360-degree view of the Black Forest, Freiburg, the Dreisamtal, Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges. The perfect place for a quick snack or a beer on the grill. For tours lasting several days, the place is suitable for bivouacking, as a small hut is available for this (maximum two people).

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Nice single trail with a few tricky spots. It is partly overgrown.

    Feldsee

    Mountain Biking Highlight

Magic place, especially in the morning, when nothing is going on - but here is nature reserve and swimming and swimming (like many other things) prohibited.

    Bikepark Todtnau

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The bike park in Todtnau is one of the oldest parks in Germany and has cult status. Many top-class downhill races have already been held here and the downhill route is still one of the most demanding in the country. But there are also easier freeride trails here so that everyone can have fun. You go up with the super-fast lift. Speaking of which: it can of course also be incorporated into a bike tour. Saves almost 500 meters in altitude and you are right in the middle of the beautiful Black Forest.

    Toller Waldtrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight

The trail section is probably hard to find from either side (Rinken or Hinterwaldkopf). It is worthwhile in any case, because firstly, it is much nicer to drive and secondly much shorter than the forest track, which may initially seem faster.

    Wilhelmitentrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Nice, narrow trail with a few small counter climbs. Can be optimally combined as a descent from the Feldberg via Hüttenwasen and Napf.

    Kandelhöhenweg

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

The Kandelhöhenweg is an absolute top trail - but it is best not to ride it on Sundays or even on public holidays, because people like to hike a lot here. A cautious behavior as a biker is absolutely recommended here, because this helps to keep the atmosphere between bikers and hikers pleasant.

    Nesseltrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

A nice descent down to Glottertal. It can be easily combined with the Kandelhöhenweg and leads over a beautiful narrow path with a good flow - S1.

    Wildtalereck

    Mountain Biking Highlight

Under the big chestnut tree is a bench that invites you to linger. The tree offers some protection from the sun or rain and you can enjoy the great view.

    Flying Gufi (kurzer, angelegter MTB-Trail)

    Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)

Very nice short trail, ideal for children! But of course also for adults who get into this sport and who cannot / do not want to ride the big freeride trails yet ... :).

    Hexentrail

    Mountain Biking Highlight

From my point of view one of the best trails in Freiburg with a good flow and jumping elements. Is constantly being expanded and optimized thanks to MTB Freiburg e.V ..
