The Black Forest is not only known for its deep forests filled with spectacular nature, delicious blueberries in summer and sweeping ski slopes in winter. A slice of Black Forest gateau is also a must. The nine exciting bike Tours in this Collection guide you through the Black Forest and allow you to enjoy a slice of cake with a clear conscience. The rides are real gems too.

Look forward to fun descents through valleys where, over millennia, wild rivers have dug themselves deeper and deeper into the earth. Evergreen slopes, mossy undergrowth and fragrant forest air will fill your senses. The icing on the cake awaits you close to Feldberg mountain; its peak is often still white, even in spring. Here, you explore the region’s most beautiful lakes and enjoy some of the best views over the Upper Black Forest. The panorama is especially spectacular when the waters of Schluchsee and Titisee lakes reflect the mountains.

There is a bike Tour to suit everyone in this Collection. The map is varied – from leisurely river descents to challenging valley crossings and from a quick mountain ride to a two-day adventure. The menus in the traditional inns are equally as diverse. You can try out lots of regional specialities at the end of your ride, from typical Vesper platters with delicious Black Forest ham to tasty home-cooked dishes that are guaranteed to fill you up. And for dessert? You can have a well-deserved piece of Black Forest gateau of course! After a longer Tour, you could even tuck into two.

More and more people want to explore and experience the impressive nature in the Black Forest, be it on foot, by road bike or on a mountain bike. However, we humans are only guests here – the animals and plants are our hosts. That’s why you should have #respectfornature here. Only with respect, can we preserve the beauty of the Black Forest for generations to come.

You can find out more about the #respectfornature initiative on our profile page komoot.de/user/schwarzwaldtourismus or at respekt-schwarzwald.info.

A drive through the Black Forest rarely leads past the famous Black Forest High Road. In 1930, at the time of the emerging auto tourism ’, the aim was in particular to create better connections between the already existing high-altitude hotels. It is therefore also one of the oldest holiday routes in Germany. And while we're on superlatives: the views are also record-breaking.

This tour on the Dinkelberg on the edge of the southern Black Forest serves you a concentrated portion of nature, combined with a wonderful descent and a good mix of urban life and culture. All in all, this round resembles a Black Forest cake in its diversity, only a bit better. The icing on the cake, including the cherry, is the view from Hohen Flum at an altitude of 536 meters.

A bike tour along the Nagold in the beautiful northern Black Forest is a true highlight safari. The best thing about it: Most of the time, it goes comfortably along the river. However, there is no lack of highlights: old monasteries and churches, traditional inner cities, relics from the times of rafting and - towards the end - the large Nagoldtalsperre, which invites you to take a refreshing bath.
