Living in the capital city doesn't mean that you can't find some glorious gravel; you just need to know where to look! Here we've pulled together some of our favourite mixed terrain loops from Central London. Expect dirt, gravel, forestry tracks and field-edge bridleways just a short ride out from the hustle and bustle.

Whether you're looping for a quick jolly out to Epping Forest or an all-dayer around Surrey or Essex, there's plenty in this Collection for everyone.

Thanks to the following for their route contributions: Andrew and Philip Diprose of The Ride Journal (North London Dirt), longtime RCC member Will Armitage (Sussex Bianche) and Spitalfields' General Manager Daniel Foster.

Rapha’s first-ever Clubhouse was launched in 2012 and instantly became a destination for the London cycling community. The location proved so popular that it was expanded in 2021, relaunching with more retail space, a larger café area, increased stock and dedicated exhibition space. The London Clubhouse is located a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus on Brewer Street, Soho. It’s as much a destination for shoppers dropping in for coffee and a bite as it is a meeting place for all of London’s cyclists, including the London Chapter of the Rapha Cycling Club. Since riding is at the heart of what we do, you and your bike are always welcome to join one of our daily rides or roll out on a ride of your own.

Guided by our brilliant Clubhouse team and RCC Ride Leaders, our seven-day ride schedule is open for all customers to try. On completion of 10 rides, riders can access an introductory offer on membership to the Rapha Cycling Club and continue to ride with us.

All RCC members receive exclusive access to events, rides and products, as well as being a part of London’s largest community of passionate cyclists.

The work of Andrew and Philip Diprose of The Ride Journal, North London Dirt promises oodles of marvellously mucky, gritty and downright filthy riding, spread both inside and just outside of the M25.

This is a long, tough day out on the gravel. Avoid in the winter, but this is a fantastic day out in the summer.
