Do you love the great outdoors as much as the cosy indoors? Do you like your bike adventures to blend challenging rides with sweeping views? Then hop on the saddle and discover the different facets of the Obermain-Jura region.

This area on the northern edge of Germany’s Franconian Alps is also called the Garden of God (Gottesgarten) – and quite rightly so. Here, the alpine slopes sweep down into the Main Valley and the cycle Tours are similarly sweeping. As you roll across the vast plateau, you’re already descending towards the valley, enjoying magnificent views of the Main Valley and the neighbouring Haßberge mountains.

In our Collection, we present nine varied cycle routes on which you can get to know the country and its people from the saddle. Sometimes you'll roll alongside the rivers without a care in the world, sometimes you'll pedal up tough ascents and be rewarded with a fast downhill ride. All along the routes you can explore the region’s rich culture, rest in cafes and find out which local beer tastes best.

Do you already know this area like the back of your saddle and you can't find your favourite Tour in the Collection? Then show us! Just copy the link to your Tour below into the Collection comments and tell us why it’s your favourite bike route in the Gottesgarten.

Speaking of Franconia, the local cuisine is well worth exploring too, with local beers and specialities on the menus of restaurants and huts up and down the valley. With the right refreshments on your bike Tour, the elevation gain will be a doddle. Especially when a panoramic view of the stunning Staffelberg hill awaits you after the next climb.

The panorama tour in the Obermain Jura is the short version of a bike tour that connects us with our neighbors Rennsteig-Coburg. Great views of the Veste Coburg, the Staffelberg panorama as well as our other landmarks Kloster Banz and Vierzehnheiligen give the tour its name. See for yourself :-)
