In the heart of Baden-Württemberg, you are never far from beautiful regions and landscapes. They are so close, that you can easily discover them on your e-bike. Wonderful cycle routes lead through enchanting valleys to idyllic lakes and along playful rivers. You can cycle up picturesque mountain ranges and enjoy crisp hills almost to yourself thanks to your electric drive. From the top, you can take in the unforgettable views all the way to the Black Forest and the Swabian Jura.
In this Collection, we show you nine great e-bike Tours in the heart of Baden-Württemberg. Three Tours each start directly or in the immediate vicinity of the Giant Store Rottenburg, the Giant Store Ostalb in Untergröningen and the Freeride Mountain in Schorndorf. This way, you can start the Tours directly from the bike shop of your choice and, if necessary, get advice on gear beforehand.
The varied circular Tours take you to the edge of the Black Forest and to the foothills of the Swabian Jura. You explore the Welzheim Forest, Schur Forest and Limpurger Berge mountain ranges where unique views are guaranteed, as well as from the summits of the Hohenstaufen and the Kappelberg peaks. The valleys are also a pleasure to cycle. Here, you ride along excellent river paths such as the Neckar Valley Cycle Path and the Kocher-Jagst Cycle Path, roll along the beautiful River Rems, and explore quaint, wild river valleys such as the Leintal and Eyachtal.
In addition to the sometimes wonderfully lonely nature and wide landscapes, the Tours also take you to pretty towns and villages such as Tübingen, Schwäbisch Hall, Haigerloch and Nagold. Here you can stop for a bite to eat and enjoy Swabian specialties. At the end of each Tour, you return to one of the Giant stores, where you can make sure your bike is in good shape and tell the friendly team there all about your cycling adventures.
It starts in front of the Giant Store Rottenburg. Here you get on your bike and first roll through the beautiful old town to the Neckar. Along the shore it goes to Bad Niedernau, where you turn into the romantic Katzenbachtal. After you have crossed the valley and the forest has thinned, you have a wonderful view over wide fields and up to the Swabian Alb.You roll comfortably downhill through this beautiful backdrop and follow the Steinlach to Tübingen and the Neckar, into which it flows. When crossing the river you can keep an eye out for the punt so typical of Tübingen. Then it goes through the Goldersbach valley to the Bebenhausen monastery.Surrounded by the beautiful forest of the Schönbuch, you then drive up to the Heuberger Tor. From this point below the Heuberg you have a great view. The starting point of the Four Valleys Tour is at the Bad Niedernau train stop. It is only a few kilometers away from the Giant Store Rottenburg. So you can cycle directly to the starting point or alternatively take the regional train from Rottenburg.At the start of the round tour you roll through the beautiful Neckar valley and turn into the lonely Starzeltal a little later. You follow the playful loops of the river in steady ups and downs until you leave its course just before Rangendingen and head west to Haigerloch.In the rock city you can take a look from the higher points of the rushing Eyach, which flows through the city in several loops surrounded by steep walls. Then you leave Haigerloch and dive into the Eyach Valley yourself, which you follow for a while.Via Bisingen it then goes to Hechingen. On the way you always have unique views of Hohenzollern Castle. You cycle straight away from the Giant Store Rottenburg and can test the engine of your e-bike right away, because it's going uphill. The route leads you over wide fields to Mötzingen. On the way you can enjoy wonderful views over the open landscape.A rapid descent then takes you to Nagold. After you have crossed the river of the same name, you drive up the steep path to the Hohennagold castle ruins. From up here you have an unforgettable view over the city, the Black Forest and, if the visibility is good, even as far as the Swabian Alb.Then you drive through the Steinachtal always slightly uphill towards Horb. On a steep descent you reach the Neckar and at the end you cycle comfortably through the picturesque Neckar valley back to Rottenburg.The perfect bike for this tour: Giant Anytour E +
The starting point of the round trip to Schwäbisch Hall is at the Giant Store Ostalb in Untergröningen. From here you cycle comfortably through the Kocher valley, which is framed by green meadows and romantic forests.After Gaildorf you will drive mainly over wide fields to Schwäbisch Hall, where you will briefly meet the stove again. In the medieval city, it is worth taking a long break, during which you can explore the narrow streets with the pretty half-timbered houses.With renewed energy, the next step is crisp: two steep climbs take you to the Limpurger Mountains. Here you are surrounded by beautiful forests and ride on a great bike route over the mountain range.Shortly before the end of the tour, a rapid descent awaits you, which will bring you back down to Untergröningen and the Giant Store Ostalb located there.The perfect bike for this tour: Giant Anytour E +
The idyllic round trip to the most beautiful lakes and valleys in the area starts right at the Giant Store Ostalb in Untergröningen. To warm up, you cycle briefly along the picturesque bank of the Kocher before you start the first ascent of the day, which takes you into the Limpurger Mountains. Here you first cycle through the romantic Rötenbachtal and then arrive at the lake district at the hammer mill.You then go down through the valley of the Blinden Rot back to the stove, which you accompany to Abstgmünd. In the place the Lein flows into the cooker and you follow it upstream. Behind Leinzell, the Leintal becomes greener and more lonely, so that you can cycle comfortably, surrounded by unique nature, far from the traffic.Finally you leave the Lein and start your way back towards Untergröningen. On the way you will pass the Reichenbachsee, on the banks of which it is worth taking a short break. On this cycle tour you are on the Kocher-Jagst cycle path and the best thing about it is that you can start the tour directly at the Giant Store Ostalb in Untergröningen. For the first 20 kilometers or so you drive directly along the stove and follow its playful loops.You reach Wasseralfingen via Abstgmünd. Here you leave the Kocher and take the cross connection of the Kocher-Jagst cycle path to Jagsthausen. From now on you follow the Jagst downstream and pass the beautiful Bucher reservoir. Then you always roll near the river to Ellwangen. Here you have made about half of the round trip and can take a well-deserved break.With renewed energy, you drive a little further downstream along the Jagst, then you take another cross-connection of the Kocher-Jagst cycle path that leads you into the Limpurger Mountains. Here you drive through deep forests, where you first pass the Orrotsee and then dive into the wild and romantic Rottal. In happy ups and downs it goes on over the mountain range until you dash back down into the Kochertal and follow the river back to Untergröningen, the starting point of the tour.The perfect bike for this tour: Giant Fathom E +
The tour to Hohenstaufen starts on Freeride Mountain in Schorndorf. From the shop you cross Schorndorf and then start the first ascent to Schlichten. Once at the top you have a wonderful view of the Remstal and the Swabian Alb.You then go through the Nassach Valley, surrounded by beautiful nature, down to the Fils. Here you cycle through Göppingen and start the ascent to the Hohenstaufen behind the city. The ascent is crisp, but thanks to your electric motor it can be done without any problems. On the summit of the Hohenstaufen you can not only enjoy the unforgettable view, but also stop off.Freshly strengthened and with great impressions of the mountain, you roll down into the valley on a refreshing descent through forest and meadows. Here you pass some villages before you dive back into the forest and reach the impressive Herrenbach reservoir. Right in front of the door of the Freeride Mountains in Schorndorf you swing on your bike and leave the city to the south. The virgin forest is waiting for you here. A crisp ascent takes you to the wooded ridge.Once at the top you drive on an almost flat stretch through the beautiful forests until you reach the Kappelberg at the northwestern tip of the Schurwald. From here you have a fantastic view of picturesque vineyards, Stuttgart and Fellbach.After you have enjoyed the panorama extensively, there is a rapid descent through the vineyards down to the Remstal. Here you attach yourself to the river and follow its course to Schorndorf, where you reach the starting point of the tour, the Freeride Mountain.The perfect bike for this tour: Giant Explore E +
The starting point of this round trip to Ebnisee is on Freeride Mountain in Schorndorf. From here you first drive on an almost flat route through the idyllic Wieslauftal. After you have left Rudersberg on the left, you climb into the hills of the Welzheimer Forest.You cycle on beautiful forest paths over the ridge to the Ebnisee. Here you have done about half of the tour and can take an extended break. At the lake you have the opportunity to stop and rent a pedal boat.Then you go on the way back, which leads you over wide fields and meadows first to Welzheim. Behind the city you dive back into the deep forests of the ridge and cycle towards Urbach, which you reach via a rapid descent.
