140 years ago, Swiss author Johanna Spyri coined her wonderful book, Heidi. The novel, which went on to become one of the most famous children’s books in the world, has had a lasting impact on Switzerland’s image. With gentle hills, rugged mountain peaks, and luscious meadows, the picture painted in the books comes to life in Heideland. In this Collection, you will explore the area around the spa town of Bad Ragaz, including the Rhine Valley and Lake Walen.

Aside from its picturesque alpine pastures, Heideland has much to discover. The region boasts magnificent alpine scenery as well as vineyards, crystal-clear lakes, and historic castles overlooking the Rhine Valley. After your ride, you can enjoy local delicacies or unwind in a thermal spa. So what is the best way to explore all these wonderful places? On an electric mountain bike, of course!

Here, you’ll find varied routes ranging from beginner paths to flowing trails and rapid descents. If you have always dreamed of exploring lofty mountain heights on your bike, but never dared, then we would like to introduce you to a new possibility. With an e-MTB, you can experience magnificent mountains without pedaling up countless vertical metres. With no gradients standing in your way you can truly relax and Feel the Flow! Heideland has three Bosch e-bike charging stations where you can recharge your battery, get expert advice, and even rent an e-bike.

In this Collection, we present eight varied routes for every level of rider and to suit any taste. You can take the leisurely route to Lake Walen or follow the gourmet trail through the Rhine Valley’s vineyards. On the ride to Gigerwald reservoir, you can explore Heidiland and fully experience what it is like to ride an e-MTB. All routes start from the Bosch e-bike charging station in the town of Bad Ragaz at Tamina Thermal Spa.
