On hot summer days, you can hike to turquoise lakes: visit the sparkling Formarinsee lake, explore the shores of Spullersee lake, and dive in the cold waters of Butzensee lake. On the way, you can stop off at the hidden Zug waterfall and follow the waters of the River Lech. When you get thirsty, you can enjoy a cool drink in a rustic mountain hut.
Summer is milder in the mountains. You can avoid sticky heat by cooling off in the cold waters of the Lech or jumping into a mountain lake. It often feels like you are far away from any civilisation in the lonely landscapes. With a little luck, you may even enjoy a mountain lake all to yourself.
