The beautiful Bavarian Forest National Park enchants with untouched nature, magnificent views of vast landscapes, picturesque lakes, rushing rivers and thick forests. In the heart of this idyll lies the Kramheller holiday apartment, the perfect starting point for varied bike Tours through the region.

In this Collection, we show you the five most beautiful e-bike Tours, which you can begin right from the front door of the apartment. On the bike Tours, you discover the Bavarian Forest National Park and cycle up to the Hochschachten, where you can take a detour on foot into pristine, untouched nature. You cycle along the banks of the Großer and Kleiner Regens, enjoy the wide expanse of water of the Frauenau reservoir and replenish your energy with Bavarian delicacies in one of the cozy huts.

Each adventure sets off from the Kramheller holiday apartment, which has been rated five stars by the DTV. Here, your whole family is sure to feel great as the apartment is particularly well thought out for small guests. There’s a playground in the garden, a baby cot, and a high chair, which are available free of charge. The apartment is really well connected to public transport. Within 300 metres, there’s a bus stop and the train station is one kilometre (0.6 miles) away. Guests can take the buses and trains for free with the Bayerischer Wald aktivCard which you receive automatically as a guest. In addition to many discounts, this includes the Guest Service Environmental Ticket – GUTi for short – with which you can explore the entire Bavarian Forest in an environmentally conscious and comfortable way. In addition to bicycle Tours, you can also start countless hikes directly from the apartment. In winter you have the possibility to start skiing and cross-country skiing adventures within one kilometer (0.6 miles).     The tour starts right at the Kramheller apartment. At the beginning you roll downhill into the center of Klautzenbach and on to Zwiesel.Here you first cross the big one, then the little rain and start behind the gates of the city with an ascent into the mountains. On the way you pass wide meadows, from which you can enjoy wonderful views over the picturesque landscape. Later you dive into the wild and romantic forest, where you are surrounded by fascinating nature.After the ascent, a well-deserved descent will bring you to Frauenau. It is worth taking a break here, during which you can be enchanted by the glass art in the museum and the Glass Gardens.Then you step harder on the pedals again and drive up to the Frauenau drinking water reservoir. Once at the top you circle the water. You roll through the beautiful forest on the shore and always have fascinating views of the large lake.On the impressive national park path it goes to Buchenau and after you have passed Jungmeierhütte comfortably downhill towards Zwiesel. From here it is not far to the holiday apartment in Klautzenbach, the starting point of the tour.

    It starts right at the Kramheller apartment. From here you roll over Klautzenbach to Zwiesel. In the city you cross the Great Rain and then get to the bank of the Little Rain. You now follow this out of Zwiesel and continue through a dreamlike forest and meadow landscape.Finally, the playful loops of the river lead you through deep forest to the Frauenau reservoir. From the dam you can enjoy a great view over the lake. After you have let the view work on you, you drive through the forest parallel to the dam and soon dive into the Bavarian Forest National Park.Here you drive up the Hochschachten through pristine nature. Once at the top, you can park your bike and take a short circular hike through the fascinating world of the Hochschachten.With incredible impressions you then swing back on your bike and enjoy the long descent through the forest. Shortly before Buchenau, the trees thicken a little and become fewer and fewer as the route continues. Wide meadows then extend along the way and give you a view of the beautiful landscape.On the last few kilometers you cycle back to Klautzenbach above Zwiesel and reach the starting point of the tour again at the apartment.

    Get on your bike right in front of the Kramheller apartment and start the tour. After a few hundred meters it is already a crisp uphill.Via Rabenstein you drive up to the nature reserve Kiesau am Hennenkobel. Then you cycle on an almost flat stretch through quiet forest until a refreshing descent brings you to Bodenmais.After you have crossed the village, you cycle through lush meadows back into the forest and reach the Gasthaus Farth on a hill. In addition to homemade organic food, you can also enjoy the picturesque view here.Filled and with new strength, you roll down through the forest to Böbrach and then cycle back to Bodenmais. This time you will pass the Joska glassworks. In addition to beautiful glass creations, you will also find a restaurant in the hut where you can linger over coffee and cake.Then it goes back up towards Hennenkobel, where you again pass the nature reserve Kiesau am Hennenkobel. From here it is not far back to the apartment, to which a well-deserved descent via Rabenstein will bring you.

    It starts right outside the front door of the Kramheller apartment. To start off, you roll comfortably to the banks of the Great Rain. Always close to the river you drive through the beautiful valley to Seebachschleife. A steep ascent through the forest to the Großer Arbersee begins here.Once at the top you deserve a break. You can strengthen yourself in the Arberseehaus. In good weather, the sun terrace with a great view invites you to linger. As soon as you have regained your strength, you can take a boat tour on the lake or do the half-hour circumnavigation on foot.Then you get back on your bike and ride comfortably on an initially sloping route through the wonderful nature of the forest. Then you will be challenged again, because it goes up to the Burglengenfelder hut. At the local vantage point, you can let your gaze wander into the distance.From now on it is only downhill except for small counter climbs. You roll through the wonderful forest to Bayerisch Eisenstein, which is on the border with the Czech Republic. Along the Great Rain and through the unique nature of the Bavarian Forest National Park, you cycle from here back to Klautzenbach, where you reach the holiday apartment again and thus the starting point of the tour.

    The round tour starts right at the Kramheller apartment. After the first few meters, an ascent towards Bretterschachten begins, which first leads you to Rabenstein and then into the beautiful forest. On the way you pass the nature reserve Kiesau am Hennenkobel about halfway up.After you have passed the board shafts, you crack the 1,200 meter mark. From here your tour only goes up a few meters in altitude. You drive gently uphill through the untouched nature of the forest to the Chamer hut.It is at 1,289 meters and thus forms the highest point of your tour. Here you can let yourself be pampered with hearty and sweet hut delicacies in the warm room or on the sun terrace.Reinvigorated, you then cycle in moderate up and down through the picturesque Bavarian Forest. On the way you will come across rustic huts where you can take further breaks.Towards the end, the route becomes flatter and even sloping. Here you roll past the nature reserve Kiesau am Hennenkobel again and then enjoy a rapid descent down to Rabenstein. Shortly afterwards you will reach the apartment again, the starting point of the tour.
