The BikeTrainTour Teuto-Senne takes you from the peace city of Osnabrück to the old imperial city of Paderborn in north-west Germany. The journey takes you through the southern side of the Teutoburg Forest, a range of low, forested hills, where you can enjoy unspoilt nature. You then ride down dreamlike avenues and past fairytale moated castles until you reach the unique landscapes of the River Senne, with the Ems Springs, the Moosheide nature reserve, and fragrant pine forests.

The BikeTrainTour Teuto-Senne winds its way from Osnabrück to Paderborn over 140 kilometres. In this Collection, I show you how to cycle this varied route in three stages, ranging in length from 40 to 60 kilometres (24.9 to 37 miles). You can comfortably arrive and leave by train. Deutsche Bahn local and long-distance trains run from the main station in Osnabrück and Paderborn.

On the way, you will never struggle to find accommodation or train stations. The BikeTrainTour aims to let you swap from your bike to the train at any point along the route. So, if the weather turns or if you only want to cycle a certain section, you can be very flexible and arrange the route to suit you.
