The Eifel Graveller is a challenging but beautiful unsupported bikepacking adventure in western Germany. Over 850 kilometres (528 miles) and 15,000 metres (49,212 feet) of altitude, you discover the landscapes of the Eifel low mountain range in all its facets. You ride past maars, reservoirs and observation towers, explore the famous Nürburgring motorsports complex, and idyllic half-timbered villages. The biggest highlight of the Eifel Graveller is without a doubt the breathtaking nature of the Eifel mountains.

The Eifel Graveller event offers the perfect opportunity to take on a grandiose adventure with like-minded people. However, you can also explore the lovingly-compiled route on your own or create your own adventure to discover the magnificent nature and the many sights of the Eifel.

Any mountain bike, cross bike or gravel bike is ideal for the Eifel Graveller. The track consists of forest, gravel, field and asphalt paths, which can be easily ridden on tyres that aren’t too narrow (we recommend at least 40 millimetres). The route also includes some trails, and the occasional hike-a-bike sections which take you to beautiful places that would otherwise be impossible to reach. However, these sections are all manageable and offer an even slower pace to enjoy the nature even more intensely.

The Eifel Graveller 2021 starts on 2nd July, 2023 and you can register online at eifel-graveller.de. On the event website, you can find some extra extensions and shortcuts for the route in this Collection. There are also bags of practical tips and tricks, such as where to find huts for overnight stays.

Here we go! By taking the ferry: Before you start pedaling yourself, you can first get help from the Klotten ferry, which will take you to the other bank of the Moselle. True to the words of Adrien, the organizer of the TransAtlanticWay: "Every good event has a ferry". When you arrive on the other side

The third part of the Eifel Graveller is also rich in sights and beautiful nature. And it has a lot to offer from something else: vertical meters. So you can look forward to a demanding tour and the good feeling afterwards. Because it is precisely these tours that really challenged us and on which we

Let's go: the fifth stage of the Eifel Graveller is waiting for you. When you leave the Rursee, you always follow the Rur upstream to turn off the RurUfer cycle path shortly before Kalterherrberg. This cycle path has been extensively expanded in the last year and unfortunately it was paved over large

You are almost there! With the sixth stage, you load the last track of the Eifel Graveller onto your GPS and you can start immediately. Once again, many great highlights and the breathtaking nature of the Eifel are waiting for you until you arrive at the destination of the route directly on the Moselle
