(@erwinsikkens_com)Have a nice ride!

It's my honor this time to prepare the Groute of the week for the Pedaleurs podcast... and that is of course a gravel route! 💚

This 45 kilometer long (g) route is a good example of a 'locals round' as I like to cycle it myself. Of course, near Arnhem you have beautiful well-known gravel spots such as

The Veluwe is a playground for the gravel bike!

Certainly from the centrally located Elspeet you can go in all directions, in terms of direction, but also in terms of diversity in paths and landscape... and this playground route does exactly that.

Starting in Elspeet, it heads north towards the always

Anyone who goes cycling in the Veluwe with their gravel bike will soon end up at gravel hotspots such as Kroondomein het Loo or places such as the Loenermark between Arnhem and Apeldoorn. However, a place not to be overlooked when it comes to beautiful unpaved cycling is the western Veluwe!

    Welcome to the Veluwe!

The biggest stretch of forest within the Netherlands, that is (for Dutch standards) surprisingly hilly and exceptionally beautiful to ride through with your gravel bike. A great mixture of forest and heather fields, as well as rolling farm tracks just outside of the forest.

I often get the question if I still have a nice round for people who come to the Veluwe by gravel bike.

I have put together this 104 km route especially for you!

On day 1 of Graveller we drove this beautiful route full of varied Veluwe trails: double-track, triple-track, single-track... and yes, even a big dose of Kroondomein gravel
