Time to switch off and make memories on a holiday in the Grossarl Valley. With plenty for adults and children alike, this spellbinding part of Austria affords the perfect family getaway.

The Tours in this Collection take you across lush mountain meadows and through magical forests. The six hikes are designed with children in mind. And whether you float up the mountain in a gondola, or scale it on foot, a rustic hut awaits you in between or at the end of each Tour.

Aside from the breathtaking mountains and forests of the ‘Valley of the Alps’, enjoying fortification and refreshment in huts along the way is a big part of the experience. So, sit back and relax and enjoy the magnificent panorama while the kids have fun in the playground.

But the theme of the alpine pasture is not only with you far up in the mountains, but also down in the valley. At the adventure playground ‘Rucki Zucki's – Gaudi Alm’ you can discover highlights such as a mini farm, an alpine stream, a mountain lake or a crystal mine and much more, even without challenging climbs. By the way, in the exhibition ‘On the alp – between heaven and earth’ in the valley museum in Hüttschlag, you will learn much about life in the area. This is not only an exciting alternative programme for rainy days, but can also be easily combined with the hike to Lake Ötzl.

We welcome you to Grossarl and are happy that you’re here. We relish the opportunity to show you that our valley has just the right thing in store not only for ambitious alpinists, but also for nature-seeking families.

The tour starts where many great hiking adventures in Grossarltal begin: in the Ellmautal at the Grundlehen car park.

There is a lot for children to discover on the rustic Almsteig to the Filzmoosalm: Here and there small animals, from ladybugs to frogs, sit by the wayside. The fact that they are not
