What is the coolest thing about a gravel bike? Probably its versatility which makes it an innovative choice that opens up new possibilities. On a road bike, gravel is pretty much impossible and tarmacked roads are no more than an inconvenience on a mountain bike. With a gravel bike, the road surface doesn’t really matter which opens up a whole new kind of bike touring. Gravel routes are probably the most beautiful way to discover South Tyrol in Austria, allowing you to move freely through the terrain. In this Collection, we present four stunning routes for gravel bikes that have been put together by locals. They will help to explore South Tyrol in a whole new way.

Thanks to gravel bikes, even locals can explore completely unknown trails and paths right on their doorstep. Our locals at BikeHotels Südtirol had a lot of fun developing new Tours for you. The result is a colourful mix of routes that are suitable as day rides or overnighters. All of the Tours are relatively long, but take into account that you can often ride much faster on a gravel bike than on a mountain bike. You’ll ride on asphalt, as well as many fast gravel paths and the occasional easy trail. This variety, as well as the great landscapes and culinary stops, ensure that you won’t get bored. You’ll experience pure adventure as you enjoy the wonderful views and spectacular mountainous nature.

The folk at BikeHotels Südtirol are enthusiastic bikers themselves who know their region like the back of their hand. They also know exactly what you need after a long day in the saddle. You can look forward to cosy accommodation, excellent food and understanding hosts who will go out of their way to help you with any questions or technical problems with your bike. You can also rent a road bike or mountain bike from all BikeHotel so you can enjoy the area from its many sides. You can find lots of Collections with Tours for every type of bike on our profile: komoot.de/user/bikehotelssuedtirol/collections.
