    Danube Bike Tour Day 1⃣

Fürth - Prunn on the Europakanal

First we have to go to the Danube!

The best way to get there from Fürth is via the Main-Danube Canal (European Canal).

    Danube Bike Tour Day 3⃣

Wörth an der Donau - winemaker

That was a day with clinging pain in the head, again wind from the east and official bike paths that make you fear for your bike!

Today it was only slightly cooler with twenty-four degrees Celsius but more comfortable to drive despite headwind. Snack

    Danube Bike Tour Day 4⃣

    Winegrower - Aschach

After the church bells woke us heartily at six, we got up more or less at the same time. It started at a quarter past nine and the first cockchafer appeared. Between the winegrowers and Hofkirchen I must have come too close to a kibitz nest. It flew so close

    Danube Bike Tour Day 5⃣

    Aschach - Grein

Over the Aschacher Danube bridge we then switched back to the south side of the Danube to tear kilometers. Temperature around nineteen degrees Celsius. Our intention is to always drive as close to the Danube as possible. The signposted Danube Cycle Path is not always

    Danube Bike Tour Day 6⃣

Grein - Zwentendorf on the Danube

I don't know whether it was before or after Persenbeug where there wasn't enough space between the road and the Danube so that we drove on grids over the Danube. A very creepy feeling. At half past eleven we reached Melk with his widely visible

    Danube Bike Tour Day 7⃣

Zwentendorf an der Donau - Vienna

We were only in Klosterneuburg at twelve, where we ate our lunch while Annette's front, defective lamp was replaced in the bicycle shop.

At about half past one the search for accommodation began in the center of Vienna, which became a heated affair

    Danube Bike Tour Day 7⃣

    Vienna

We now live between the Strudlhofstiege and the Liechtenstein Garden Palace. There we did a little lap, also to finally pull our well-deserved ice cream ashore and because it was about to rain. We got both.

    Danube Bike Tour Day 8⃣

    Vienna

A city that does not come to rest! Even at three there are still people on the road talking loudly and laughing. At four the birds wake up and the ravens are particularly loud. Closing the window creates a build-up of heat.

At half past eight we started from our accommodation

    Danube Bike Tour Day 9⃣

    Vienna

The town hall, the almost deserted Volksgarten with the intensely fragrant and glowing roses (all the shrubs had a sign with personal congratulations or thanks), the Hofburg with the castle garden and the butterfly house, St. Stephen's Cathedral, St. as it says on very old

    Danube Bike Tour Day 1⃣0⃣

    Vienna - Pöchlarn

We left Vienna at twenty-one degrees Celsius at a quarter past ten. We continued via Klosterneuburg, Tulln and Zwentendorf where we had a rest on the Danube and I walked with my feet into the Danube. It was pretty cool.

Shortly before Mautern, and thus already

    Danube Bike Tour Day 1⃣1⃣

    Pöchlarn - Ottensheim

Since we were first on the southern side of the Danube again, we were able to look at the places we had already passed from the Hintour across the Danube. We saw Persenbeug at a quarter to ten from Ybbs at twenty-three degrees Celsius. After leaving the Wachau

    Danube Bike Tour Day 1⃣2⃣

    Ottensheim - Passau main station.

In the breakfast room we saw the water level mark from the Danube flood in mid-2013. It was at shoulder height with me and the room itself was a meter above the street.

At half past eight we started at twenty degrees Celsius and had to go through
