Easy hike on a comfortable path without a slope in the area of the Isar meadows. The tour starts at the Isar Bridge on the western side of the Isar. From here you hike upstream towards Wegscheid.Along the course of the Isar and Jachen, you walk through idyllic floodplains, always accompanied by the rippling of the stream. In Wegscheid you walk further south to Langeneck. From there it continues on the Jachensteg to the Landerermühle in Leger, where you can fortify yourself with a delicious cake.The path then goes back towards Wegscheid. There you go over the Breton Bridge to the east bank and downstream to Lenggries. Back in Lenggries, attractions such as the local history museum, the natural swimming pool or the Isarwelle family pool attract visitors.
Walk in front of a unique backdrop: Hohenburg Castle, Calvary, view over the Isar Valley, natural streams & ponds.The walk to Hohenburg Castle begins at the car park in Karwendelstrasse. From here you go into the Grand Duchess Maria Anna way. Follow this path until you are past the Calvary and are at a crossroads. Here you take the paved path on the left. This will take you directly to Hohenburg Castle.Behind the castle, the hiking trail continues to the Hohenburger pond. On the opposite side of the lake you hike down a small piece of forest. Then you get to the Oberreiterweg and follow this until you have arrived at the Lenggrieser Schule.Here you go down Geiersteinstraße until you come to the tourist information. Here you turn left into Herwarthstraße. This road will take you directly to your starting point.
On the Reiseralm you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lenggries and the mountains in the east of the Isar Valley. One goes from Lenggries over the Isarbrücke to the Brauneckbahn valley station. Here start two variants: a) over the restaurant Jaegers in serpentines directly to the Reiseralm or b) already before the forest road left past the mountain railway, slightly uphill along the stream to the hut, which is farmed all year round.
The best comes last! The best point is probably not the highest for this tour, because the summit of the summit is completely wooded and thus gives no panorama. The hike on the little-visited peaks through the wonderful, enchanted forests, on shady paths is still worthwhile. On the descent you should visit the mountain inn Denkalm. After crossing the Isar bridge, walk straight on Brauneckstraße to Lahnerbach, then left, following the small gorge up to the Gilgenhöfe. Keeping up on the altitude, continue south and then follow a beautiful avenue, past farmsteads and a sawmill to the Untermurbachhöfe.Wegscheid is at the bottom left. If you go into Wegscheid, you can hike back to Lenggries on the Isarweg.

It only leads moderately uphill along the stream to a managed piece of forest, past a small bridge to Duftalm (not managed) and after the bend immediately right - slightly rising - to the upper terrace, which resembles an extensive alpine pasture.Following the stream down to Obermurbach, further to the Isaruferweg in Wegscheid and up the Isar back to the parking lot at Langeneck.
