Du willst die Schweiz mal anders erleben? Meist erkunden Wanderer vorwiegend die berühmte Bergwelt der Alpen – doch die Schweiz hat für aktive Urlauber noch viel mehr zu bieten. So zum Beispiel zwischen Zürich und Genf: Auf dem 320 Kilometer langen Jura-Höhenweg lernst du den Schweizer Jura von seiner schönsten Seite kennen. Du erklimmst aussichtsreiche Gipfel, streifst durch malerische Wälder und über satte Weiden und lässt es dir in gemütlichen Gaststuben gut gehen. Der Fernwanderweg, auch als Nationale Route 5 bezeichnet, zählt nicht umsonst zu den aussichtsreichsten Wegen der Schweiz. Erlebe die beeindruckende Landschaft dieses atemberaubenden Gebirgszugs nahe der französischen Grenze und schnür deine Wanderstiefel für ein ganz besonderes Wanderabenteuer durch die Schweiz.

Der Jura-Höhenweg verläuft in einem weiten Bogen von Dielsdorf bei Zürich bis nach Nyon am Genfer See. Der Jura ist geologisch gesehen ein junges Gebirge, das sich von Frankreich in einem weiten Bogen über die Westschweiz erstreckt. Auf deiner Wanderung über die felsigen Gipfel und Hochebenen bieten sich dir spektakuläre Aussichten auf die Alpen, den Schwarzwald und die Vogesen. Außerdem erwarten dich unterwegs tiefe Grotten, sprudelnde Quellen, romantische Seen und stille Wälder. Hin und wieder hüpft auch eine Gämse durch diese Postkarten-Idylle. Ich habe dir den Fernwanderweg in 16 Etappen eingeteilt, sodass du immer am Ende eines Wandertags eine Möglichkeit zum Übernachten hast. Meist befinden sich die Unterkünfte direkt am Weg, hin und wieder musst du die Höhen für die Nacht aber auch verlassen. Da du auf den Pässen oftmals nur eine Möglichkeit zum Übernachten hast, empfehle ich dir deine Unterkünfte bereits vorab zu reservieren. Entlang der Strecke findest du zudem zahlreiche gemütliche Gaststuben, die dir traditionelle Gerichte zur Stärkung anbieten. Versäume nicht, dir auch mal ein typisches Schweizer Fondue zum Abschluss eines ereignisreichen Tages zu gönnen.

In den Ortschaften, die dir entlang der Wanderung als Etappenziele dienen, findest du stets Anschluss an den Zugverkehr. So kannst du dir auch einfach ein Teilstück des Jura-Höhenwegs heraussuchen, falls du keine 16 Tage am Stück Zeit hast. Start- und Endpunkt der Gesamtstrecke erreichst du ebenfalls ganz entspannt mit dem Zug. Alle Infos rund um die passenden Verbindungen findest du hier: sbb.ch.

Du bist auf dem Fernwanderweg zwar nicht in alpinen Höhen unterwegs, solltest aber trotzdem gut ausgerüstet sein. Pack eine Regenjacke, Sonnenschutz, ausreichend Wasser und etwas Proviant in deinen Rucksack, so bist du auf meteorologische Überraschungen immer gut vorbereitet.

Der Schweizer Jura ist ein einzigartiger Streifen Erde, der sich besonders schön zu Fuß erkunden lässt. Lass dich von dieser besonderen Landschaft verzaubern und schau dir die Alpen einfach mal aus der Ferne an. Dadurch wirken die mächtigen Felsriesen nicht weniger beeindruckend – und du lernst eine ganz neue Seite der Schweiz kennen.
